Texas Mini Aussie Rescue (TMAR) relies on amazing volunteers throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding area who provide foster homes for our rescued Mini Aussies where they are prepared for new lives as beloved family members while awaiting adoption. Adoptions are not on a first come first serve basis as our main goal is to match the Mini Aussies we've rescued with a forever family that is
best suited to each dogs individual personality and needs ensuring a lifetime of love for both the dog and the adopter. In addition applicants are required to provide veterinarian & personal references and allow a friendly home visit from a rescue representative prior to the approval of meeting any of our adoptable dogs. Our adoption process may seem time consuming or unnecessarily complicated to some, but please understand that we have our Mini Aussies best interests at heart. We strive to find the best homes possible for each of our Mini Aussies, as well as find the right Mini Aussie for you and your lifestyle. All Mini Aussies with our rescue have been fully vetted prior to becoming available for adoption. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-chip, heart worm testing, heart worm/flea/tick preventatives and treatment for illness/injuries/dental as needed. Texas Mini Aussie Rescue has a constant need for volunteers in a variety of areas. Most of all we need volunteers who can provide our Mini Aussies with a safe place to stay while being prepared for adoption. Without foster homes we are simply unable to rescue these dogs who are becoming increasingly in need of our help! Once your completed application is received and processed a TMAR representative will be in contact with you to provide more information on our foster program and answer any questions you may have. We welcome volunteers with a variety of expertise and experience in all types of areas not just what is listed on our website. Please keep in mind when submitting any applications or forms that it may take a few days for us to begin processing them. Our organization is completely run by unpaid volunteers, who dedicate their "free time" to help Mini Aussies in need of rescue aside from having full time employment and families to care for.
