Here’s an update on our clients 300 gallon African Cichlid aquarium we set up back in February! We’ve seen dozens of babies in this tank and we’ll need to pull some out soon to avoid overpopulation. We always choose 50/50 Lumilite LED fixtures to help give these Cichlids their bright and brilliant coloration!

Today we’re celebrating 5 years in business! Over the last 5 years, I’ve been able to share my love and passion for aquariums with more people than I could have imagined. There are dozens of public facilities including restaurants, offices and clinics where my work can be seen by a countless number of guests and visitors. I’ve been so grateful for all of my clients for trusting me to get the job done for them. So to all of my clients, co-workers, mentors, friends and family, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU

The Dr. Seuss Soapfish sure does live up to its name with patterns and colors straight out of a children’s book! This rare fish lives at a depth of 350 ft below sea level which requires special depressurization practices to prevent any injuries when coming up. This guy in particular has been in a clients tank for about a month now and is eating like a champ! 💪🏼

Introductions are in order! I’ve seen a good amount of new followers here on IG so I’d like to introduce myself and hopefully get to know some of y’all as well.

My name’s Cameron Toussaint, I opened Blue Paradise Aquatics in August of 2016. Yes, we’ll be celebrating the 5 year anniversary soon! (Maybe a giveaway too!) I’ve been in the hobby for a long time too. I raised African Cichlids in my very first aquarium and I was always so excited when they would breed so I could take the fry to my local fish store for trade-in credit towards more aquariums. I quickly added a saltwater tank to my collection and my curiosity only grew from there! Fun fact: the first place I drove to when I got my drivers license was a fish store. Now I get the joy of providing these living underwater environments to my clients!

When I’m not working on aquariums, I love spending time at the gym, going out with friends, painting, fishing and woodworking. When I can, I also foster dogs and enjoy traveling to new places!

A little throwback to that time we did some install work for a restaurant here in Dallas! Unfortunately not all of these tanks were put in by us, they were done years before but quite a few had sprung small leaks so we had new custom tanks built to fit perfectly into place. The trim work took a full day 😅

Look at all that potential!! Just got the new lights up on this beautiful 8’ rimless reef aquarium. With 240 gallons of total water volume, I can only imagine how this thing will look in just 3 months time. Be sure to follow to see the progress on this lil old thing 😁

We always recommend LED lights for every reef tank we install. The output when compared to the price is second to none and we’ve never seen any corals that these lights couldn’t grow! You won’t be disappointed when you go with Hydra or Prime LEDs!
