Ace loves to drag me down the stairs so we practiced patience and waited on the stairs until his human parent arrived.

Ace watched his parent pull in the driveway. Get out of the car and walk up to the steps. He did a great job maintaining this command until I gave him the go ahead to get up and walk down the stairs. It was such a peaceful experience for me not being dragged 🤣🤣🤣

Probably a boring experience for ace but he did AMAZING!!🐾

Ensuring the safety and comfort of the dogs in my care is paramount. I don't accept dog-reactive or aggressive dogs, as there's a crucial difference between the two. While most people are familiar with dog aggression, I also avoid dog-reactive dogs because they may misinterpret social cues, leading to a dog fight.

Dogs communicate through various signals like growling, snarling, flashing of the teeth, air snap or giving a "hard eye," which can't be missed and often signal a desire to be left alone. It's important for dogs in my care to be able to safely communicate with each other, including accepting corrections from eachother when they desire to be left alone. They NEED to be able to say “hey stop that” through their own corrections and social ques. A dog reactive dog will not receive these behaviors well. Ultimately, creating a safe environment for all dogs in my home is my top priority.

Dogs still have instincts. They are animals. And anything can happen. But we try to do our part over here in advocating for the safety of all the pups 🐾

Ace had his first day at doggy daycare, where we focused on one-on-one trust-building. We gradually acquainted ourselves with the surroundings, progressed through phases before introducing Ace to the established doggy clients. Taking it at Ace's pace, he did WONDERFUL!
