Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue was born out of a deep love and concern for animals. It began because of the huge need in a community with no city or county animal services. Many times puppies, pregnant dogs, and unwanted dogs are left at our entrance or tied to our gate overnight. They are all in need of a safe place to live and recover from the harsh life of being hungry and homeless or unwante

This beautiful 6-year-old Yellow Labrador/Golden Retriever mix was found confused and abandoned on the side of a busy road, but her gentle spirit never dimmed. Now, she’s ready to trade her past for cozy walks, soft blankets, and the love of a forever family.

Sunshine is spayed, vaccinated, house-trained, and crate-trained. She lives with other dogs and adores most people. Whether you’re sipping coffee on a chilly morning or taking a peaceful evening stroll, she’ll be right by your side - tail wagging, eyes shining, heart full.

There’s no better way to celebrate than grabbing a leash, your favorite four-legged friend, and heading outside for some sunshine and tail wags! ☀️🐾

At Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue, we know it’s one day late but any day is great to walk a dog and we know just how much a simple walk can mean to a homeless dog. For our rescue pups, daily walks bring joy, confidence, and connection - helping them feel loved and ready for their forever homes. 💛

So today, take a moment to stretch your legs and share the day with your pup (or one of ours 😉):

This sweet girl came to us as part of a big rescue of 12 dogs, and while she started out a little shy, she’s blossomed into a playful, loving adult. Carol Anne is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and good with most other dogs (she currently has a bestie named Fred she loves to romp with!).

She is not just cute, she is also active! Carol Anne loves to stretch her legs and would make a wonderful walking partner for daily strolls or neighborhood adventures. Whether it’s chasing leaves in the yard, going on walks, or curling up for cozy nights in, she is ready to jump into family life.

🌸 Meet Tulip, the sweetest pick of the patch! 🌸🎃
Tulip came to us with another female and a litter of pups, and while we’re not sure who the mama truly is, we do know Tulip is full of love, resilience, and charm. At the start of October, she’s blooming with personality and ready to find her forever family!

This unique girl is spayed, vaccinated, good in a home with most other dogs and children, but prefers a home without cats. She’s also extra special, Tulip doesn’t have her right back lower leg, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. She still runs, plays, and cuddles like a champ, proving she’s got plenty of magic in her step!

I am forever grateful as are the dogs, pups and the amazing staff and volunteers at TBC Animal Rescue.
