Todd is a stunning Black Labrador Retriever/Pittie mix whose heart is as big as his hugs. Energetic, affectionate, and endlessly loyal, he’s the kind of dog who will stick by your side through every adventure, from long walks to lazy weekends on the couch. House-trained, leash-trained, and great with kids, most dogs, and cats, Todd is ready to devote himself entirely to the family lucky enough to call him their own.

At Texas Best Choice Animal Rescue, we are especially grateful for the incredible rescue dogs who show us what true resilience looks like. Many of our pups have come from tough beginnings, but with a little love and patience, they shine brighter than ever. ✨🐾

Meet Scooter — he is still waiting and days have turned in to years- too long. 🐾

At 10 years young, Scooter is proof that age is just a number. This 80 pound sweetheart may bark at strangers at first, but step inside his kennel and he melts into a gentle lap-dog wannabe who just wants love. He’s all bark, no bite, the perfect mix of protector and cuddle buddy!

Scooter’s wish list is simple: a backyard to explore, a family to belong to, sunset walks, and a cozy spot by your side. He walks beautifully on a leash, knows “sit” (especially for treats!), and even enjoys car rides. Mature, loyal, and full of life, he’s the kind of dog who’s already figured out the world and just wants to enjoy it with you.

Shelby was found on the side of a lonely rural road—starving, thirsty, matted with painful knots, and covered in fleas. She had been dumped like she didn’t matter.

Her prayers were answered when TBC brought her to safety. We gave her food, comfort, and love—but also heartbreaking news. Shelby is heartworm positive.

Volunteer Lisa fell in love with Shelby’s tender soul and opened her home to foster her through recovery, but her fight isn’t over yet. With love, care, and support, Shelby can finally have the life she’s always deserved.

North Texas Giving Day is a powerful annual event that unites communities in support of local nonprofits. For TBC Animal Rescue, it’s a lifeline—helping us raise the funds and awareness needed to save homeless animals.
