Hi Everyone meet "Stray Momma" one of our clients found her and brought her in for vaccines, Microchip and to get her spayed but will not be able to keep her. She is so sweet, it does take her a few minutes to warm up to you but she will want to be cuddled once she gets to know you. We are estimating about a year in a half of age. She has not been dog aggressive in the Hospital but we are not sure about cats or small children. We had the pleasure of meeting Halo on Monday, she is a 7 week old French bulldog who was here for her first round of puppy vaccines. She did great and we can not wait to see her again in 3-4 weeks. 🐶🐹

Sir Bigglesworth (Biggie) is a sweet approximately 3 year old cat who had a rough start to life. He was taken in during this past winter's freeze and proved to be an absolute softie.This lovable scamp is now looking for a place where he can take copious naps, lounge in the sun, and play ferociously with his favorite toys. He loves to cuddle and have his tummy rubbed, and is VERY food motivated. He is neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations with a clean bill of health. Welcome Sitka, he is rescued 1 year old male who has a Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT). In order to give him a fighting change at life we have paired up with . Mclean and started CHEMOTHERAPY in Hospital this week.
We are very proud of Dr Mclean and our staff for taking on this adventure.
We continue to fight daily to help as many pets we can.

He is doing really well after his first injection.

We are excited to announce that founding partner, Dr. Jennifer Lavender, will now be available throughout the Metro Paws Animal Hospital networks.

Beginning in January 2024, she can be found regularly on Mondays at the White Rock location and other scattered days at the other Metro Paws Animal Hospital locations. The best way to schedule an appointment with her is by calling our White Rock location at 214-324-1500 to check her availability. Orthopedic surgical procedures and follow-ups will now be performed at the White Rock location.

Christmas Eve (12/24/2023): 8am - 12pm
Christmas Day (12/25/2023): CLOSED
New Year's Eve (12/31/2023): 8am - 4pm
New Year's Day (1/1/2024): CLOSED

*Boarding Requirements: To keep the paw-ty going smoothly, please make sure your pets are up to date on vaccinations: Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella (Bord), and influenza.

There are some reports of a canine respiratory infection spreading in some parts of the country in dogs. We are aware and we are actively monitoring. We have not yet seen a case in our patients at our hospital.
At this time, our recommendation is to please keep your dog up to date on the Bordetella vaccination (kennel cough) and the influenza vaccination if they are social, attending boarding or grooming. 🐾
