Sammie's first visit was a blast! We believe her sister Riley went home and told her all about our delicious treat and hugs. 😉

Can #PeanutButterFriday become a thing? Nala is in favor, so we are as well. 🤷🏻♀️

We couldn't help but snap a video Miss Phoenix enjoying some love and massages from the team while her pre-anesthesia cocktail kicked in.

This is Luna. We love her and she loves cheese. We met her at 17 lbs, but she just weighed in at 65 lbs. ❤️
Thanks to her anti-allergy injection, she'll be very happy to spend less time licking her paws and more time licking cheese.

We're so proud of Lola we decided to make her our Pet of the Week for two weeks in a row!
Here she is nursing her four puppies on their fourth day together.
#PetOfTheWeek
Our Pet of the Week is Eddie Spegetti with the wildest tongue in the Midwest.
He can be choosy with his affection, but he thought our vet tech Katie deserved a smooch.
Don't be paralyzed in fear that the weekend is over.
Make it your best week yet! We're excited to see all of our pet patients this week and hope no cats are experiencing purralysis.

Happy #Caturday! Anyone interested in adopting a sweet smartypants like this cat, Quincy? He is learning commands like a dog!
If you'd like to add this strapping young gent to your family, please call Metro Paws White Rock at 214-324-1500.
Edgar
Pet of the Week - Edgar!
Edgar was raised from infancy until the age of 25 by our social media manager. He was born in Mississippi, and moved with her to college in Dallas, grad school in Los Angeles where they lived for 10 years, and then back to Dallas for another 10 years.
Turtles like Edgar, who is a Pond Slider, live up to 80 years, so if you're considering having a turtle as a pet, keep that in mind, especially since domesticated turtles cannot be safely released back into the wild - they become dependent on you for food and shelter!
But what is amazing about pet turtles is that they often recognize their owners! Once Edgar was too big to humanely keep him, our social media manager donated him to the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, where she visited him this week. As you will see in this video, Edgar recognized her after 18 months apart!
Turtles make wonderful pets, but they are a lifelong commitment, so please consider this before deciding to add one to your family.
