“I have a pool, why does my dog need to go in the underwater treadmill?” While swimming can be good exercise for some dogs, it doesn’t offer the same benefits. In the underwater treadmill, the water offers support by taking pressure off of joints and/or injuries, while allowing for full range of motion. It’s a more controlled form of exercise that allows us to adjust speed, resistance, and the amount of strain on injuries. #dogphysicaltherapy #caninepainmanagement #caninerehabilitation #dogsofinstagram #dogsofdfw #veterinaryrehabilitation #underwatertreadmillfordogs
