Winnie is approaching 2 years in her foster home. It was our hope that we would FINALLY tell her she has a place to call her own.

Winnie is still searching for that perfect home to spend her retirement years. Could you be her forever family?

Winnie has been with us so long because she's an older dog. She's got some salt and pepper on her face, but that just makes her more distinguished and beautiful. Winnie also doesn't do well with cats or small dogs. So, if your home is pretty relaxed, and you have other bigger dogs, maybe give Winnie a shot. She just needs her short afternoon walks and long afternoon naps to be content. She's not a hospice foster. Winnie has more life to live and a forever home to love. 💞

⭐💛⭐ Meet Bruno!

Bruno is a small, 3-year-old, red and white male Cocker Spaniel. He is a full-bred Cocker but was never registered. He has a super sweet temperament and a big-time wigglebutt. He’s friendly, VERY energetic, loves toys and playing in the water.

He has a bit of a sensitive stomach, so he is being fed three small meals per day. He will need potty-training reinforcement (belly bands can save your carpet until he learns). A patient adopter/foster can help him to unlearn bad habits and learn better house manners, which can be a good bonding activity.

Bruno has reacted well around small children, though his energy level may be better suited for older children (7+). He had a bad experience with grooming as a younger dog, so he may need to be sedated for grooming.

This little 3-year-old does not have a foster yet, so he is available to foster or adopt. Please consider helping Bruno on his way to a better life in a foster or forever home.

During the holidays, TCDR rescued sweet Evangeline (Evie) from a shelter in south-east Texas. She’s as sweet as her smile in this picture. Fort Worth, TX - 12YO female terrier

Tequila is a beautiful 12 year old girl who has been dealt an incredibly cruel hand. She has tested positive for both herpes type I and adenovirus.

Her temporary foster mom writes: “I pulled her for the weekend to give her a spa day because she was absolutely disgusting and in poor shape. She is sweet, docile, seems to be cat friendly, and still has plenty of life left. She needs a home either as the only dog, or with another dog who has Herpes, too. She doesn’t deserve to die because of an illness she didn’t choose.”

These are both livable diseases that just take some extra TLC to manage. They are not contagious to humans or cats but can be passed to other dogs. Going back to the shelter was a death sentence, meaning she would be euthanized. We couldn’t let that happen.

Volunteer Notes - a very handsome combo. Not sure of his parentage but he’s gorgeous. Easy to walk, keeps a strong tension on the leash that verges on a pull from time to time. Excellent “sit”. He sat as soon as he saw treats. Then I took too long to give them to him so he tried to sn**ch one 😉. He’s a love. He doesn’t want to go back inside the pod to his kennel and had to be bribed. It was our first walk. Now he knows I’m more stubborn than he is.

Volunteer Noes: This sweet senior stole my heart today! Full of ticks and nearly blind, he ran into everything on the way out side😞.

Once outside he just wanted to explore all the smells and could see a little better but still bumped into stuff. We passed a dog outside and his tail wagged so fast over excitement to play with another dog. Looks like he’s had a collar on that was to tight or he’s been living on a chain by the looks of his neck. However, he’s so loving and a happy boy! He deserves a loving family to live out his senior years. 🙏
