AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: SPARKLE was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter that couldn't help Sparkle and her siblings because they were too small to even eat totally on their own. FFAR agreed to help the kittens who were extremely skinny, full of fleas and in general not doing well. With love and care Sparkle and her siblings have had their issues taken care of and are now ready for adoption. Sparkle has grown into a great kitten. She enjoys attention, has a nice gentle purr motor and is a playful friendly girl. She has been socialized with other cats and has dog socialization. She must be adopted into a home that has another pet to be her companion. She is good with her kitty box.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: SPARK was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter that couldn't help Spark and his siblings because they were too small to even eat totally on their own. Just received this great update on John & Althea, the brother and sister that hung out at 121 for longer than we would have liked. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer for their perfect family to find them... "They are all doing great! We renamed them Sarge (John) and Tessie (Althea). Sarge loves to sleep with me at night, and both love to compete for who sits in my lap when I'm working from home, with one sitting in my lap and the other on my feet.
They love playing in boxes and discovering new adventures around the house to explore. All the animals love getting treats together."

Just got this wonderful update on Zoe, our precious girl who we thought might be with us forever. Mom says, "I thought I would send you a quick update on Zoe! She is adjusting really well to our house (still scared of our dog, but otherwise very happy). She has gotten really comfortable this last week and is coming out of her shell. Her and Loki are getting along so well and she started playing with him!" Sweet Zoe was with us a long time (partly because of the ringworm we have been battling this year) and was finally adopted almost a month ago. She was several years old and it can take the adults a while to adjust. We are so appreciative of patient people who give them that space. And so happy for Zoe!❤

SPARKY UPDATE! Got this nice note and darling pictures this morning. "Just a few pics of sparky settling in :) we are loving him!! And yes he has decided he rules the home and our dog has totally bent the knee haha." We are not in the least bit surprised. He was a kitten that never met a stranger. So happy everyone is happy!😸❤

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: LIBBY was rescued from a local kill shelter. She was listed as a "stray - public dropoff," meaning someone found her and took her to the shelter. She was extremely sweet but not vetted. Of course, she is fully vetted now and ready to rock. Libby is a young cat, around a year, and gets along with cats and kids. Dogs are an unknown but given her age, with slow introductions almost certainly would be fine. All she needs is you! SUNNY ADOPTED! We hadn't even gotten this little cutie listed yet and he already found his forever home. He will live with his new parents, four kids, three dogs and one cat. Thinking this will keep him plenty occupied and feeling loved. Way to go little guy!

PINTO ADOPTED TOO! Yesterday was a good day. This cutie didn't even have to stay at PetSmart for 24 hours, although his parents saw him and fell in love from his PetFinder listing. And his parents are amazing. They are previous FFAR adopters. They adopted an older cat from us in 2016 and he had all sorts of health issues. Lenny had stomatitis and had to have all his teeth pulled. He had some other issues and they patiently dealt with each and every one, saying he "needed them and was worth it." They also have another younger kitty so Pinto is getting a wonderful home where all his needs and desires will be met. Hopefully he will get a new name, too, but what counts is he landed a great home. Thanks to these amazing adopters who came back for another kitty even after all they went through with the first one they got from us. We appreciate this so much! And so does Pinto!❤

STILETTO ADOPTED! This beautiful cat finally got her forever home. As is so frequent this year, she developed a spot of ringworm on her ear that has taken quite a while to heal, but finally she was ready and was sent on her way yesterday. She will live with a Chihuahua and be the only kitty, definitely not a problem for her. Her new mom grew up with many family members having Ragdolls but her mom was allergic so she never go one of her very own. She already sent us this last night, "Quick update. Stiletto is doing great. I have her litterbox set up in the bathroom and at first, she hid behind the toilet, but I turned off the bright light and put on a soft light and I was sitting on the floor talking to her gently, and then she came out and she has been nuzzling her head into me and doing her little twirls. Like I’ve literally been petting her this entire time😂 she won’t let me stop! I fed her and gave her water, but she hasn’t eaten yet which is understandable. She was being so chatty in the car and she kept meowing at me. I’m just absolutely obsessed with her and over the moon. She’s my dream cat. Shes sooooo sweet!! She already took treats from me and let me brush her (she seems to love the brush). Thank you so much again for pairing me with this angel :) I may change her name at some point, but I haven’t decided on one yet. I’ll email you when I do though." That definitely sounds like a great update, even though it had only been a couple hours. We are thrilled this beauty finally has a home.❤

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: PINTO was rescued from a local kill shelter where he had been brought in as a "stray public drop off." Most likely someone found him and took him to the shelter. This little guy is amazing. He is borderline annoying because he is so friendly and demanding for attention. If you don't want a kitten that purrs the minute you touch him and crawls all over you, preferably upper torso/chest area, this is not the kitten for you. He is fearless for such a tiny one and walks right up to the biggest dog and cats he doesn't know. They may hiss at him, but he takes it all in stride and doesn't seem to know how to be afraid or get upset by something else. He can be a talker when he wants something, but not excessively. Pinto is the kitten his foster home used to help socialize some fearful kittens, as he got right in their face while they hissed at him and seemed to say, "What's up? Wanna be my friend?" Pinto is a fantastic kitten (barely two pounds), but needs the right home where he will get attention and be appreciated for his over-the-top personality. We have hearts full of gratitude for you, as well as for our fantastic volunteers who pour themselves into the care and nurture of the hundreds of cats and dogs that are rescued by FFAR each year.
