Chico's journey to recovery. After enduring significant pain, he underwent dental surgery at the Veterinary Dental hospital in Dallas, where 11 teeth were removed.

The teams dedication was exceptional, keeping us informed throughout the process and going the extra mile to ensure Chicos well-being. The compassion and professionalism displayed by every staff member were truly remarkable as it's not often we find a service provider that collaborates with rescues in this manner, and truly understands that every dollar matters in saving the lives of at risk animals.

Chico's medical expenses, including an office visit at Lakeside paws for $308 and the dental surgery total $988.

We are seeking your help to replenish these costs. Any contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact on our ability to provide care for animals in need.

He is now making up for lost time and eating all meals until the bowls are empty. He is doing well in the wellness room and will be ready for his follow up visit in two weeks.

Fundraiser update | Dec 30, 2023

Our fundraising goal was $8,000. We raised $945 at Nick's Bar and Grill and $4,176.50 through Accenture's MyGiving Campaign for a total of $5,121.50.

Chip Tredo won the drawing for the 55" HDTV this afternoon at Nick's Bar & Grill.

Jason Pipkin won the Kobe Bryant Hat.

Thank you all for supporting our rescue as we continue our mission of taking care of at-risk cats and dogs.

We are raising much needed funds for 2024 Medical/Wellness. Help us raise funds through donations or raffling for a 55" TV and Kobe Bryant Hat. Raffle $10 per ticket. Last day to purchase raffle tickets - Dec 30th at 1pm. Winner announced Dec 30th at 2pm.

Our good friend, Chip Tredo, reached out after our post of Got Milk. We suggested he purchase Meyenberg Goats Milk for his cat with thyroid problems that is very finicky. Proud to post through tears the video he sent of his cat drinking all of the goats milk. Goats milk can supplement an entire meal, as it's packed with tons of protein. You can purchase it from your local Walmart and Krogers. $4 can and $6 carton.

Toby has had a long day on the job. He's been on security duty monitoring his domain and now that it's the end of the day, he's taking a step back to relax and reflect on what he ate for lunch and what's for dinner when mom comes home....

David's truck is back in service and we will be finishing up yard work and upgrades to Catio 2, 3 and 4. What do you think about Catio 1 in the video? We still have to add enclosed housing on the bottom.

Yayy- just finished our monthly run of cat food and weekly run of litter and chicken and dog snacks. Neighbor has chickens that we are happy to pick up snacks for lol.

Costco stop - food for the KPF brood. We are still thanking Accenture for their wonderful donation. We are now able to shop on a monthly basis instead of weekly.

Accenture's fundraiser donated $3,800 to our rescue. For the first time in a long time we were able to purchase food and supplies for the entire month at one time. The biggest portion of their donation went towards our $10k wellness Care Credit Card payment. We made a payment of $2,500 on the card to give us more room for emergency Veterinary visits. Also, due to Accenture's MyGiving campaign, they will be sending us an additional $1k due to the number of employees that contributed. I'm happy to say that the donation is already geared toward another $1k payment on our wellness card.

Can you believe we started rescuing in 2014? It has been a journey of love. Toby was part of our very first rescue pick up from The Colony Animal Shelter. We had a mix of litters needing bottle feeding. It took him a while to get adopted and man did he strike gold lol. His mommy Laura loves him dearly along with his canine siblings. His best friend and partner in love and crime is Mary Lou.
