Just because I’m not grooming, doesn’t mean I’m not working!

Starting leave nearly a month early was not part of my plan, so I’ve decided to break out my embroidery machine again and start offering shirts for sale 🩷

I can make any color, any size, and can offer tons of different customization options!

Basic short sleeve shirt: $35
Short sleeve + 1-2 names: $40
Short sleeve + 3-5 names: $45

Long sleeve + sweatshirts available upon request!

❣️IMPORTANT UPDATE❣️

As you all know, my plan has been to work through the end of this month and get as many of your pups pampered as I physically could before going on leave.
Unfortunately, our plans don’t always work out, and especially with the uncertainty of pregnancy, it’s important to be flexible and make adjustments as needed.
With that being said, due to some complications with my blood pressure that could put myself and baby girl at risk, I’ve made the difficult decision to start my maternity leave early.

As of ✨today✨ Poppie’s Pooches is temporarily closed until further notice.

I’ll be sending out messages to the appointments already scheduled for the remainder of August with information for an alternative groomer while I’m away, and I’ll tag a few others below! If you’ve got a longer haired or curly haired pup who’s prone to tangle, I strongly recommend having them seen by another groomer in the intervening months. I’m happy to share my grooming notes for each haircut to help make the transition as seamless as possible!

Lastly, I want to thank you all for being the best clients I could ever ask for. We’ve been through a lot of changes since November 2022, and I’m so grateful you’ve all been along for the ride! I’ll see you all in a few months! 🩷

✨August Availability Update✨

After a recent checkup with my doctor, and based on current symptoms, I’ve made the decision to reduce my availability to 3 days a week for this last month before baby girl makes her appearance.

So, what does this mean for my existing appointments? Nothing! All currently scheduled appointments will still be kept with no changes needed🩷

What this does mean is that my openings for the month have been reduced a fair amount, so if you’re wanting to get your pup pampered before November, there’s no time to waste!

We’re down to ✨6 weeks✨ until I start maternity leave!

Returning clients, I strongly recommend taking advantage of our online booking to make sure your pup has a spot to be pampered before September! Those last August appointments are starting to fill up quickly.

My plan as of now is to start leave September 1st, and return early-mid November. I am compiling a list of alternative groomers who may have availability to take care of those furry pups who can’t realistically wait 8-10 weeks in between grooms.

I’ll be posting all updates through Facebook and Instagram, so make sure you’re following those pages, and tell your friends who are clients to make sure they’re following too!

I’m so proud of this boy! His first visit was a far cry from perfect, and I knew he’d take time to settle into a new grooming routine and new groomer. But today he blew me away with how good he was! Maverick is proof that sometimes all a pup needs is to know he’s safe and secure, and we can see massive improvements in behavior.

We’ve still got work to do, but I’m confident that with some consistency and patience, he’s going to become the best boy ever for his pampering sessions!

Is your dog more closely resembling a molting parrot rather than a canine? Opal certainly was! As we head into these summer months, it’s very common to see an unusual amount of fur coming off your double-coated pup. The best way to help keep them cool this summer is to get a good deshed! Releasing that trapped undercoat will allow better airflow and temperature regulation, plus save your vacuum from overwork😜
