I know there are so many questions about the new shop and setup, so I’ll try to answer some of those now! Keep in mind that I’m still juggling my mobile schedule while trying to plan all this out, so flexibility will be key for the next few weeks!

The new shop is located at
1708 Cleveland Highway
Dalton, Ga 30721

I am excited to share that I will be splitting the building with another fabulous business owner, but rest assured that this space is plenty big enough for both of us, and is set up in a way that will allow us to maintain a certain level of independence for each of our businesses. Your pups will still only be groomed by me, and only handled by myself, and any potential helpers I bring on (mostly my poor husband 😂).

I don’t have an exact layout for my hours or scheduling just yet, but my goal is to continue to operate on a 1v1 basis as much as possible, and to focus on minimizing the amount of time your pup spends in the shop. I do intend to have some availability that will cater to those of you who work traditional hours and have been relying on the latch/key option available to mobile appointments.

This will be a huge transition for all of us, and I’m so grateful to have the best clients who have been so supportive and flexible! Thank you all for being the very best!

Poppie’s Pooches Valued Clients,

I have some big news to share—both professionally and personally! I am excited to announce that after years of fertility issues and pregnancy losses, Garrett and I will be welcoming a miracle into our home this fall! Naturally, with this wonderful change comes the need to adjust how I run my business.

For my health and the long-term sustainability of my services, I will be transitioning from mobile grooming to a brick-and-mortar location in Dalton. Beginning March 1st, I will no longer be offering mobile appointments. However, all February appointments will still be honored as scheduled.

I completely understand that this change may be an adjustment, and I truly appreciate your support and understanding. While I know the convenience of mobile grooming will be missed, I hope to continue serving you and your pups in a welcoming, comfortable, and safe new space.

I will be sharing more details soon about the new location, and I’d love to see you there! Thank you for being such a wonderful part of my journey—I’m grateful for each and every one of you.

You might recognize this sweet face from our Spooky Season photos posted yesterday.

This cutie is Ike. Ike was rescued earlier this year, and when I first met him, he was a very nervous little dude, but let me tell ya, that sweet face was hiding a spicy little attitude 🤪

We started out by only trimming his nails, and what would normally take me 5-10 minutes ended up being quite a bit longer. I could only use nail clippers, no dremel, and Ike had to wear a party hat to keep his little teefs away from my hands 😂 BUT, I didn’t hold any of this against him. He was a first timer, and was still adjusting to his new life with his new dad. He still got lots of scritches and tasty treats.

Over the last few months, I’ve worked with Ike to build a relationship based on trust. It’s been a slow process, but thankfully, Ike’s dad has been great about understanding the importance of taking baby steps, and not pushing Ike too far with each session. Because of all that work and gradual progress, yesterday, for the first time EVER, Ike received a full and complete Poppie’s Pooches bath service. He powered through his bath time with 2 rounds of shampoo + conditioner and face wash, was a champ for the high velocity (and high volume) dryer, and even let me dremel all his nails for the first time!

I am so proud of this little dude and how far we’ve come! And of course, none of this would have been possible without Ike’s dad being supportive and understanding of my methods, trusting me to work with his furry pal, and being consistent with near monthly appointments.

Teaching a nervous pup to be okay with grooming can be a long and tedious process, but Ike is a testament to the fact that it is possible!

👻$5 gets you a physical, printed photo of your pup in the Spooky Season scene, handed to you at the end of your appointment

👻$6 gets you both!

Pricing is per pet, with individual photos for each.

In an effort to be more transparent with my pricing and make it easier for potential new clients to determine if mobile services are a good fit, I’ve decided to publish my base pricing.

Please keep in mind, these are BASELINE prices. Curly coats (doodles, poodles), double coats (husky, golden retriever, Labrador, German shepherd, etc), and matted coats WILL cost more.

I do my best to provide an accurate estimate based on the information given through the intake form, but it’s difficult to assess a dog through a photo alone.

I am opening up a handful of spots for new clients, but I am going to be very selective about who I bring on.

✨I will not be taking on any new doodles, regardless of size.

✨I am specifically looking for clients to fill spots in existing routes in Varnell, North Dalton, Cohutta, and eastern parts of Ringgold.

✨I have a limited number of openings, and the first appointments are on specific dates in October.

✨The first 1-2 appointments with a new client will be considered a trial, and if I feel like the pup(s) and client are a good fit, we can discuss setting up a reoccurring schedule.

✨All prospective new clients can inquire by filling out my intake form (linked below). If it’s been filled out before, please submit your information again. If you may be a good fit, I will reach out within a few days (with the exception of my vacation time next week).
