We are looking for a morning kennel attendant. Must be at least 16 yrs old, hold a valid driver's license, able to lift 50lbs and love to work with animals. Some duties include light duty housekeeping, maintaining strict standards of cleanliness, sanitation, feeding/watering/nursing care of patients and boarders and assisting vet techs and doctor with medical and surgical care. Approx 5 shifts a week Monday through Friday. 8am until about 11:30am. Pay starts with minimum wage. Great for someone looking for a part time job or has an interest in veterinary medicine. "When do I start training my puppy?" That is a great question and the answer is - immediately, every day. Training starts just as soon as a puppy is born. Mom teaches a pup to respect her, other littermates teach how to play with each other, owners continue that by not allowing biting, etc to continue and positive reinforcement for wanted behaviors. Most basic obedience will help you and your dog achieve the Canine Good Citizen title. What is that? It shows that your dog can do the following: accept a friendly stranger, sit politely for petting, will welcome being groomed, walk on a loose lead, sit and down on command and stay in place, come when called, walk by another dog, be confident with distractions around and can be left with a trusted person.
