🎆 How our dogs react to the New Year’s ball drop… 🐶

Just like people, every dog brings their own energy into the new year.

You’ve got the early-to-bed crowd, the party animals, the velcro pups who refuse personal space, and the quiet hopefuls wishing next year includes a family of their own.

These moments may be funny, but they also remind us why rescue matters. Behind every personality is a dog who deserves comfort, safety, and a place to belong.

Here’s to a new year full of happy endings, warm couches, and forever homes. 💚

Tell us which one your fur baby would be, or which one you would want your potential pup to be!

We truly could not do this work without Lisa M Horton, Dr. Carlton, and the entire Lancaster/Stanford Veterinary Hospital team. 🤍🐾

From day one, they’ve been a constant for our rescue. Every single dog that comes through Fields of Freedom receives exceptional baseline care because of them: vaccines, bloodwork, spay/neuter, microchips, preventatives. All the things that give our dogs the best possible start in their new lives.

And when the big cases come in? They show up every time.
Dogs like Allie, Lightning, and Krypto.... complex, heartbreaking situations that required time, skill, and compassion, were met with nothing but dedication and care.

Lisa goes above and beyond in ways that are impossible to put into words. Boarding dogs for weeks or even months, caring for them day-to-day, helping us work through applications, and truly investing in finding the right families for each dog. She treats them like they’re her own.

This team stays late, comes in early, fits us in when schedules are packed, and shows a level of flexibility and heart that is incredibly rare. Their love, patience, and commitment don’t just support our rescue, they are an integral part of it.

We are endlessly grateful for all you do. Thank you for standing with us, believing in our dogs, and helping save lives every single day. 💚

Kris may be small, but his heart is anything but. 💙
This little guy has a way of turning every moment into joy...

Chasing his favorite ball, trotting happily beside you, and reminding everyone that love can survive even the hardest chapters.

But here’s the part that matters most: Kris isn’t alone in his story... Belinda has been there through it all.

When they landed on the euthanasia list in an overcrowded Kentucky shelter, they leaned on each other. Fear, uncertainty, exhaustion... They faced it side by side. And when rescue came, they walked out together, just like they always have.

Kris brings the playful spark.
Belinda brings the calm, steady comfort.
Together, they’re perfectly balanced and inseparable.

This video might spotlight Kris’ energy, but his happy ending only exists if Belinda is part of it too. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together because love like this doesn’t come in halves.

If you’ve ever thought about what it would mean to give two dogs the life they fought so hard to keep…
Belinda and Kris are waiting. 🐾💚

We get all kinds of breeds in our rescue, but there's one that takes the cake.....

We end up with a ton of Bully Mix pups because they just don't have much of a chance at humane societies and other places.

Unfortunately, society still sees them as this big, dangerous beast when they are the most lovable big cuddle bugs you have ever seen.

Wanna help us make room for some new breeds in 2026?

Get one of our "Bully" breeds to a home please 💙

This sweet girl is Pearl.

Pearl was protecting her mom and got stabbed and kicked violently.

Pearl got stitches and is healed.

Pearl is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever encountered, full of love and loyalty, and ready for some serious cuddles and kisses.

Pearl brings her big pet sheep on long car rides to cuddle.

Be like Pearl.

Adopt Pearl.

It is the season of giving, and we sure hope to do a lot more giving than receiving in 2026 😉

Happy Holidays from the FoF Team, and more importantly, the FoF Pups in boarding, at fosters, at the barn, and those that have found their furever in 2025.

Thanks for being a part of what we do!

12/24/2025

We give the pups as much love as we possibly can, but nothing can compare to a warm, loving home to cuddle into.

Hopefully their Christmas wishes will come true in 2026!

We love seeing some of our pups having their own presents and stockings underneath the tree this year!! 🎄

🚨 URGENT SOS FOR DOG LOVERS 🚨

This is Cain, he just came to us for the third time...

He had to be surrendered because his owner was moving and couldn't keep him.

Then was returned for having separation anxiety and getting into things when they were gone and they didn't want to try to crate him or give him meds.

And now the adopters' dogs aren't accepting him, so he's stuck in boarding with our vet and you can see how he feels...

This boy is depressed and really needs to find his forever family soon.

He is a Cane Corso through and through and would make a perfect guard dog and couch potato.

He is incredibly loyal. Hes grieving and needs to find a new owner to protect and love.

Please comment below if interested or apply at www.fofdogrescue.com

Please share as you may know his forever family.

Please, even if you can't, someone you know might be able to save this sweet boy!

It's amazing what some love and care can do for a pup.

Krypto came to us severely underweight and with a metal chain embedded in his neck.

Thanks to our lovely vet friends, his neck is fully healed and he is one happy chunk now.

Who thinks they can show Krypto what the good life is like? It's not too late to be his Christmas present!

Dog & Kid Friendly
7 yr old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix

We do our best to make sure our pups have the cleanest environment to live in, despite some of their best efforts to live in a more dirty environment 😉
