It's been waayyy too long since we updated!! We have been super busy! Isabelle is the absolute joy of our days! She is sweet and patient and hilarious. Her amputation is right around the corner so I wanted to give potential adopters a heads up. While she is the most angelic little girl in the world, she has been seriously traumatized by her previous owner/owners. Adopting her to be a part of your family will require the patience of a saint and a heart of gold. She is afraid of everything. Doors, inanimate objects that may impede her entrance through said doors, certain people (we haven't figured out exactly what sets her anxiety off yet), rainstorms, loud noises, fast movement, the vaccuum, your energy. I literally mean if you are agitated in any way, shape, or form, she will cower. She desperately needs reassuring and likes to be with you all the time. Although, she does ok when we are at work/school through the day. She needs someone who knows what trauma can do to a spirit and how to help her through it. Hugs and verbal reassurance thats she's ok seem to help tremendously. But you will have to remain calm about absolutely everything around her. I know it sounds like a lot but she is so worth all the love and safety that this world can give her. Please consider making her a big part of your life. And please share this post so we can reach more potential adopters.
