Getting the sleep you need with a baby can be SO hard. Your husband has to work and you’re running on fumes. Sleep just seems like a thing you used to do. Let us take care of your baby so you can take a nice long nap. 💤

I had a very special booking this last week for a mama that really needed help. Being isolated away from friends and family can make it really hard to get anything done when you have young children and work from home. I worked with training her dogs, helped her clean out her closet and let her have some quiet time to get stuff down while I occupied her little one. I love helping mamas in need and this work is so needed. ❤️

Todays hard will not be tomorrows hard, mama.

I know right now you are in the thick of it… wiping as many tears from your own eyes as you are your little ones. It feels so hard. Impossible. You are surviving day to day in an unimaginable place where your heart beats outside of your chest but has a mind of its own. Your desire to control crushes up against a steep learning curve, and it is confusing and confounding. The curve levels out soon. You won’t always feel this way.

Today’s tears will not be tomorrow’s tears mama.

Your worries and concerns at this period of life will shift. Some will pass entirely. Your eyes burn from the exhaustion and despair of extinguishing your own basic needs to sustain your baby’s. You miss who you once were and wonder if that person will ever come back again. She will.

Today’s heartache will not be tomorrow’s heartache mama.

These woes will ebb and soften. Some say “parenting doesn’t get easier just different.” But I disagree. Parenting does get easier because each day of motherhood you get stronger. Every day you become more confident in your ability, your tenacity, even your familiarity with yourself, your children, your relationships, your values.

All of these grow stronger in motherhood —not weaker. Your shapeshifter ways of early motherhood, floating through night and day like a ghost, transforms over time into a unwavering earth mover who will do anything to advocate and support your children.

Today you only know your heart beats outside of your chest. But tomorrow you understand how to cultivate and enrich it.

Today you feel weak and unsure, but tomorrow you will see the essential role you continue to play your kids world.

A beautiful world where you watch your heart beat, grow and heal the tears from the growing pains that helped you get here.
