🌞🔥 Summer is here and so is the heat! While on a heat advisory, you should NOT have your pet outside for extended periods of time. This is especially true for geriatric, brachycephalic (short-nosed, flat-faced), or any pet with cardiac or respiratory disease!

Heat stroke is a serious emergency—know the signs and act fast to keep your furry friends safe.

If you notice any of these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately!

💦 Keep pets cool, provide plenty of water, and avoid outdoor activity during peak heat.

✨ Meet Pearl! This adorable French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix stole our hearts at her visit. 💖 She was such a champ during her puppy exam, vaccines, and nail trim! Meet Lily, our brave little warrior! 💪🐾 Despite undergoing chemotherapy, she greets every team member with wiggles, happy zoomies, and a big appetite for treats. Her joy is contagious! Here she is, striking a pose with her amazing doctor, Dr. Taylor. We’re so proud to be a part of her journey!

Bayle is the most adorable little chihuahua! He presented to us in July of 2024 for having low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and not being able to regulate it. We performed a CT scan and ruled out a liver shunt. Since he still wasn't improving, we sent out a f***l sample and found he had intestinal parasites (roundworms and coccidiodes)! If puppies have an excess of intestinal parasites, this can cause them to have low blood sugar. We treated for the parasites, and he is doing so much better! He recently just celebrated his first birthday!🤩🥳 We love to get updates from owners, and we are so happy he is living his best life!

🌈🐾 Sweet Daisy showed up to her appointment yesterday dressed in pure purride — and completely stole our hearts. 😻

Wearing her rainbow bandana with the quiet confidence only a cat can pull off, Daisy reminded us of something beautiful: Pride is about love, identity, and being exactly who you are — with no apologies and lots of heart. 💖

As we celebrate Pride Month, we're so grateful for moments like this — small, joyful reminders that kindness, acceptance, and love truly make the world a better place. Whether two-legged or four-pawed, everyone deserves to be seen, safe, and celebrated. 🐾🌈

While Oliver was in for his wellness appointment, we performed yearly blood work and urinalysis to make sure all his organs were functioning properly. While getting a urine sample with our ultrasound machine, we found he had bladder stones! They were small enough to where we did not need to perform surgery, so we elected to perform a procedure called a urohydropropulsion. This is a procedure where we fill the bladder with saline then manually express the bladder to catch the stones. We were able to expel 6 very small stones which we sent off to an outside lab to have them evaluated. After his procedure, he got the luxury treatment which included free snuggles and a cozy bed to recover in.

🎉🐾 Big cheers for sweet little Maggie, our Dog of the Day at the Quad City Criterium on Memorial Day! This adorable Labrador Retriever puppy stole hearts (and the show!) and trotted home with a tail-wagging basket full of toys to enjoy. 🧺🐶

🚴‍♀️ And a huge round of applause to Gabriela Guerra, the champion of the Creekside Veterinary Hospital Women’s Pro Race! What an incredible performance!

Meet Denali, a very food motivated working police dog, who is undergoing chemotherapy for Lymphoma. She has been the best patient and LOVES treats! We love getting to work with her and look forward to continuing to provide care for her.
