On Decemeber 29th, Chicken, an indoor only kitty decided to make a break for it out the patio door. His family searched for him for 8 days before reaching out to us. With zero sightings except for a neighbors camera immediately after his his escape they were hoping we could shed some light on where he had went off too. K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer came out on day 9 and lead us over to the adjoining Condo complex. We placed cameras, scent articles and feeding stations along the track. Initially we saw several cats - two doppelganger cats that were causing tons of confusion. Two days after the track Chicken finally showed up to a feeding station briefly and then made his way over to his house! Unfortunately due to the bad weather the door at home wasn't open. He peered in but quickly left realizing the door was closed.

The next night his family was there ready for him. He showed up a bit earlier but this time the door was open. He quickly snuck back inside and his family closed the door after him. He immediately started meowing and exploring his home grateful to once again be safe and where he belonged! Overall he is healthy but did lose quite a bit of weight during his adventure.

Welcome home Chicken! Noodle and the rest of your family missed you dearly!

Hamilton, a beautiful solid white cat left on a solo adventure on December 17th. 5 days later we were on the ground to help narrow down his location. Both K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer showed that Hamilton didn't travel far from home. But this case would prove to be very challenging. Cameras were placed after the track but it soon became very clear that there were tons of other cats in the neighborhood and they were most likely preventing Hamilton from being able to return home. Two weeks passed without a sighting of him. Furmom thankfully expanded her flyering and on January 1 Hamilton was seen lounging on a pool deck just 4 houses down from where K9 Sadie lost scent. It would seem that the fireworks perhaps pushed him out of his hiding spot. The trap and camera were moved down there and Hamilton made his grand appearance but sadly decided that the small cat trap was not for him. He can be seen on camera checking out his mom's pillowcase and nuzzling against it. We made the decision to swap the small trap for a large dog trap as Hamilton was quite tall. The next night Hamilton immediately heads into the trap but stops halfway and leaves. He showed up several more times but didn't commit to entering the trap. Finally, just after midnight went all the way in and ended his time on the run. At 1AM we were able to hand deliver a very special gift to this family.

Welcome Home Yogi! Just 24 hours after the track, he was found just a few feet from where the dogs had taken us. Yogi, a 13 year old schipperke, escaped his yard on NYE. The dog sitter arrived later than agreed upon and allowed him outside at 9PM. Fireworks were going off everywhere. Yogi, and his sister, escaped their yard. His sister was found just outside of the yard but Yogi was nowhere to be found. On day 3, K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer were on the ground to shed some light onto where Yogi had traveled to. They both indicated that Yogi had went the opposite direction of his sister and where the family had been looking. They took us through some thick brush and swampy areas. It seemed hard to believe this little guy would navigate this area but fear can cause dogs to do incredible things. At one point we arrived to a very overgrown area that Sadie wanted to jump into. Not knowing what was lurking in there she was stopped and gently called for Yogi. We moved on from the area and K9 Sadie continued to build a perimeter for scent. The family was left with a recovery plan and they immediately started with the tasks. Today, at the 24 hour mark, they called to say that Yogi had been found just a few feet from the overgrown area! He blended in so well with the ground covering and never made a noise. Thankfully Furdad has eagle eyes and spotted him camouflaged in the brush! A quick stop to the vet and it appears he is in great health! Welcome Home little guy!

What a Christmas miracle this is! Seems that Santa had an early gift for this amazing family. Mica's family was on vacation in St. Augustine with Mika and another furmemeber. When out to dinner on Tuesday night, it seems Mica discovered how to open the doors to their Airbnb since they had lever handles. She made a break for it and ended up on a VERY busy road. Traffic was stopped and thankfully she made it off the road without being injured. Her family was devastated when they returned to the Airbnb and found that only one dog was there. They immediately started searching for Mika but she seemed to have vanished. On Thursday, the family reached out for some assistance and as luck would have it a sighting came in as we were talking. Giving them some quick advice on lost dog behavior, I was hoping they would be able to recover her then and there. Unfortunately, the family never laid eyes on her. That evening they had a drone fly the area but they were unable to locate Mica however did locate over 100 deer. Knowing that she most likely didn't travel far from the last sighting, and with a second sighting (that was actually older), in the same area search dogs were not the best option to get her to safety. On Friday, we made the 3 hour drive up to assist, with the plan being a bacon burn, set up cameras and a trap. Saturday was silent without a single sighting but the family worked diligently on large signs and spoke with more neighbors. On Sunday most of the day ticked by slowly without any sightings. At 6PM Mica's owners called saying they had seen her and she was near the trap! They were advised to move out of the area quickly and quietly. She wasted no time checking the trap out (10 minutes). The best gift ever was letting the family know that she was secure in the trap and to go get her. She was thrilled to see her family!

Thank you to the great community out there that called in sightings, allowed us to place traps and cameras on their property and just their genuine concern for this sweet girl and her family.

I hear that Santa will be delivering a GPS collar to this little adventurer!

Welcome home River! River went on a 22 day adventure that ended over 10 miles from where it started. On November 18th she jumped multiple fences at the boarding facility where she was staying for the holiday. Multiple sightings in the first few days showed that River was headed north and covering ground quickly. Then River's trail went cold with no sightings for almost 8 days. K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer hit the ground on day 12 showing us that River had set up camp near a very secluded state park with plenty of trails allowing her to move about without being seen. A park ranger confirmed River had been there that same morning. A plan was immediately put in place that included large signs, feeding stations and cameras. On day 15 River was seen just East of the park on a local small farm. Cameras were moved to the area but it seems River vanished once more. On day 18 another call came in that River had completely changed direction and was headed back north. Her furmom was able to get there quick enough to lay eyes on her but she was not ready for her adventure to end yet. River immediately bolted out of the area. Trying to keep her in the area we started cooking bacon to lure her back to the point where she was last seen. On day 19 River was seen calmly laying in a field sunning herself. The trap was set and we all waited on pins and needles. River never showed up. On day 21 we had two sightings come in - in opposite directions of each other. Each one was checked out and people in the immediate area were notified. On day 22 River was once again spotted in the same field relaxing. Seems that the sightings from the day before were incorrect. River's mom was now well versed on calming signals and had brought along the other household dog. This time River was more than excited to run to her mom and end her adventure! She has lost some weight but is overall in great condition considering the ground she covered. Welcome home sweet girl!

Welcome Home Hope. This sweet girl left her yard following another dog that was passing by. She must have gotten scared at some point and decided it best that she hide. This was the beginning of a 5 day adventure for her, her family and a wonderful community. She was spotted the following day over a mile from home but wouldn't allow anyone to approach her. Her family continued to search, talk to neighbors and spread the word. On day 4, Hope was spotted back in her own neighborhood but still scared and running from anyone that even looked her way. We came out on day 5 to see if we could help secure her. Feeding stations were placed in a few different areas and in less than two hours, Hope was there eating! We immediately turned the car around to set the trap where she had been eating. Hope watched from the top of the hill as the trap was set & baited with some more yummy food...& then we waited and waited and waited. Finally a neighbor called to say Hope had just been at his house and entered the woods near him. She was headed in the direction of the trap. A few minutes later the same neighbor calls back to say she had doubled back and he had secured her in his yard! Furdad immediately jumps in his car and rushes over. We had been through calming signals and he was confident that he could secure her. None of that was needed though - it seems Hope was ready for this to be over and greeted Dad with kisses and love! Two little girls were tucked into bed at home but would wake up to an awesome surprise of their dog being home.

I hear that Santa will be delivering an early gift of a GPS collar for Hope!

Welcome home Charlie! Charlie is an indoor only kitty that escaped out the backdoor when it was opened for the dogs. With no sightings or leads on his location K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer came out on day 5 to help narrow down his location. We circled around two small retention ponds and ended up in the backyards of the neighboring homes. A neighbor confirmed he had seen Charlie on day 4 out in the neighbors yard. Knowing we weren't far behind him we put a plan in place with cameras and a feeding station. On day 6 there was another Charlie sighting. This time closer to home. A camera was moved over there. For four days nothing was seen there except bobcats, raccoons and coyotes. On the fourth night we finally saw the cat that was reported but sadly it wasn't Charlie. It was a kitty that was very similar. On day 11 furmom received a notification from the chip company that Charlie had been found. Here's where the story gets crazy. Mom makes the call to the finder and confirms that it's actually Charlie. They decide to meet in a public location and this wonderful, good Samaritan tells her how she caught Charlie. He was over 10 miles from home! Interestingly this was the same neighborhood that the family's nanny lives in. On day 7 Charlie was seen running from two coyotes! He dashed into her porch area via a dog door to escape. She tried to catch him but he was too quick. Herself and two other neighbors spent the next 4 days trying to lure him into porches to secure him. They finally caught him, took him to the vet to be scanned and to their surprise he had a microchip. We aren't 100% sure how he made it that far from home (Uber? Hitchhike?) but are very thankful that Charlie was able to find some angels to help him. Welcome home Charlie!

Please remember to microchip your pets - even the indoor only ones! Charlie's chip ensured that he made it back to his family!

Welcome home Zane! This boy gave everyone a run for their money but finally surrendered. Zane is an indoor only kitty that was frightened in his home. In an attempt to hide he jumped on a window sill that had an open window. He pressed against the screen, popped it out and fell two stories! He was seen the next day hiding under a car but quickly disappeared. His furparents would getting sightings and immediately head out to find him. Often they would see him crouched under and around things but couldn't get their hands on him. Trapping was unsuccessful as well. After not having sightings and fearing he had moved out of the area K9 Sadie came out to help. Sadie indicated that Zane had in fact moved out to a neighboring Condo community. Traps were moved, cameras were placed and the waiting game began. The next morning Zane showed up to trap at 6:17AM. We thought for sure this game was over! But alas Zane wouldn't fully enter the trap. Another sighting came in - it seemed far - but furparents again thought they had eyes on him. Trap was set and shortly thereafter we had a cat in the trap. This guy could have been Zane's twin but wasn't Zane. Two days later Zane was once again on camera! He was dancing around the trap but a raccoon entered the scene amd Zane was gone once more. The night after his raccoon encounter Zane calmly walked up to the open front door of his house. Acting as if he hadn't tortured his poor parents he turned himself in.

Great job to his family for never giving up, sleepless nights, releasing critters and following up on every lead!

Welcome home Zane!

Welcome home Numnut! Nummy is an indoor only kitty that somehow escaped her home. The details around her escape are unknown but what we do know is her family was extremely worried about her. K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer came out to help figure out where Nummy had wondered off to. They both lead us down a few houses and then started to circle these houses. The neighbors were beyond amazing and supportive and allowed us to search their yards but we still couldn't find her exact hiding spot. We didn't want to scare her from this area so we put a game plan in place for her recovery. Cameras were placed, a scent trail was left to guide her back home and the owners left multiple doors open for her to come back to. Two days after the track Furdad was sure he had heard her meow in the garage. They immediately closed the garage door to prevent another escape and sure enough Numnut showed herself. Welcome home Nummy!

Welcome home Jachy aka Rocco. It's a long story but full of valuable information and a happy ending!

Jachy, a 10 year old lab, was transported to the states from Columbia. His owner had moved to New Jersey two years ago and was working on getting a home and settling in. It was finally time for Jachy to join the family here and a transport company was hired. Unfortunately, after a week with the transporter Jachy escaped. The transporter made almost zero effort to recover him. They did give him a fake name of Rocco since they had forgotten his real name! So as social media posts with sightings happened "Rocco" became very well known within Davenport. He was seen crossing a major roads (6-8 lanes) multiple times, he visited home improvement stores and he wondered neighborhoods. He was shy and scared but was being caught on cameras and being seen by people driving.

He finally settled into a neighborhood and stayed there for about a week. His owner drove down from New Jersey and was able to get fairly close to him. Jachy was scared though and ran from him. After this point he left that area and went to another nearby neighborhood. Thankfully the community did an awesome job on reporting and sharing sightings and he was easy to track down. He spent his nights scavenging through new home construction sites looking for food. He would run if he saw a person, a car or heard a strange noise. This boy was in fight or flight mode.

After 3 weeks we stepped in to help with trapping. He was staying in one area and was being seen multiple times a day. We found a street that he really liked to scout out for food and placed a trap there for him. After 6 hours he was nearing the trap only to have a cat beat him to it. He moved a few blocks away and never went back. We knew with patience and enough smelly food we would eventually get him. On night 2 we put the trap at one of his favorite construction sites and he entered the trap almost immediately after finding it.

Jachy had an amazing team helping him and without them his recovery would have been impossible. Paula, who almost hit him the second day he was on the run headed up stake outs, communicating with the owner, securing additional help and running the social media campaign. Her husband and her spent days and nights out looking for him and learning his routines. She is truly Jachy's angel. The entire community rallied around this dog and getting him home safely. Neighbors knew him on a first name basis and were calling in valuable sightings.

Please remember never call out, whistle or chase a lost dog. It can force them out of their safe area and slow down the recovery.

Welcome home buddy!

Welcome home Henry Carmicheal Randall! His royalty made a break for it early in the morning when the door was left open for dogs to use the yard. His family immediately sprang into action knowing the dangers he could face out on his own. K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer came out to set up a perimeter of where he was hiding at. Cameras were placed on the track - they revealed what we all feared. Coyotes were quite comfortable coming into that area. Furmom was so dedicated to the recovery and made it practice to go outside to scare the coyotes off. Henry Randall is a smart boy and moved just outside of the area. Thankfully the whole neighborhood was invested in getting this boy home. Someone had seen a "cat" and let the owners know. Without many details they rushed to the area and spotted him. He was a little scared and not coming to them but was willing to follow after them as they walked away. He eventually was close enough that they swooped him up in their arms and ran all the way back home with him. The cat with the longest name is now home safe & sound!

Welcome home Titus! Titus made a break for it Thursday while having a sleepover at his Aunt's house while Dad was out of town. His army of people immediately jumped into action with signs and social media posts. It wasn't long before they had sightings and knew the area he was in. His Dad immediately flew back to help in the search. Unfortunately, every time they got eyes on him Titus would bolt - he even swam across a lake to escape capture. When the sightings stopped coming in his family feared the worst and reached out for some help. We scheduled our track for Sunday morning to provide some intel on Titus' new area.

Right before we were due to head out we learned there had been a sighting just a few hours before. A track was no longer needed but he still needed to be secured. We switched to trapping mode. As we were headed to the location Titus was again spotted by his dad. Furdad did awesome in staying calm and trying to lure him back but he just wasn't ready to surrender. The trap was set in the last known location and the area was cleared out so Titus could safely return. Studying the local aerial map showed us there weren't many ways he could exit the woods he had entered. A local resident clued everyone in to some trails that traveled to a nearby camp. Wanting to do something his dad started walking the trail from the opposite end, armed with his new knowledge of lost dog behavior. Amazingly the two happened upon each other! Titus was ready for his adventure to end and happily surrendered himself. Thankfully his days on the run only left him a little dehydrated and dirty.

Great job to Titus' army. They never gave up, followed all the advice given and made an amazing recovery!

Welcome home Bueller! Bueller, an adorable white ferret, made a break for it when a contractor left a door open. On day #1 he was seen two different times. On day #2 there was a sighting over TWO miles away. This sighting was in the parking lot of gym and veterinarian. Bueller's family didn't know if it could really be him as it was such a long distance to travel. On day #3 K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer were on the case. They confirmed the gym sighting but soon lost scent.

Bueller's family was instructed to cover the area with flyers and signs. They did an amazing job with this. The day after the track someone called to say they had also seen Bueller in the parking lot and someone was trying to catch him but they weren't sure if he was caught or who the person was. Two days after the track someone came forward to say their friend had in fact caught Bueller. He connected Bueller's family to his friend. Happy tears all around. Welcome home little guy!

Welcome home Yuki! Yuki managed to escape the Airbnb that he and his family were staying at temporarily. His furmom immediately started looking for him and sharing his information with neighbors. She was able to spot him the first day he was missing but he dashed quickly away from her. On day 3 she reached out to us for some additional help. We were scheduled to track on day 4 but as luck would have it he showed up at home just a few hours before the track. Unfortunately he was playing hard to get and ran out the door before it closed behind him. Knowing that he was still in the immediate area we called off the tracking and went straight to trapping mode. We set a trap outside the door he had entered last night. Additionally, we engineered a "trap door" in case he entered the home again. Yuki made the right choice at 2:20AM and entered the trap for some yummy sardines. Welcome home buddy! Mom says you are under house arrest now!

Welcome home Mugi! Mugi escaped his carrier when his family stopped for a bite to eat on 8/1. K9's Sadie & Chazer were out on 8/6 and indicated that Mugi was still close by and most likely hiding. Cameras and feeding stations were placed and the family was advised to continue their flyering campaign. With two sightings reported on a different area of the track the camera was moved over there. Unfortunately, the camera was stolen from that location hindering the search. Fast forward two weeks and the family got the call they had been waiting on! Someone had been feeding a cat for two weeks that looked a lot like Mugi! They were given a location and went there immediately! Waiting for them like nothing had happened was Mr. Mugi! Welcome home buddy!

All is right in Lucy's world now! Lucy, a beautiful white and black kitty decided to rush the door as her furdad was walking in. He followed her a few buildings down but lost sight if her once she ducked under a car. They immediately jumped into action flyering the neighborhood, talking with neighbors and physically searching areas she might be hiding. On Tuesday K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer came out to help set up a perimeter. On Wednesday her parents got the sighting they needed. Apparently, Lucy had decided that she liked eating dinner at a neighbors home every night at 8 PM. Her dad managed to rig a "trap door" on the patio. Lo and behold Thursday 8 PM Lucy showed up for dinner. Her furmom was there and pulled the door shut behind her. Welcome home little adventurer!

Welcome Home Sully! Walk up find by Chazer! Sully, a 13 year old mini schnauzer disappeared from his yard early Saturday morning. His family searched the woods behind their home for days. When they reached out yesterday, Monday, we knew time was of the essence. They believed he was out in a lowland marsh that could easily flood with upcoming hurricane. K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer hit the ground early this morning. K9 Sadie took us through the woods and back to a swampy area. The dogs could easily cross but humans were sinking in the mud. We decided to approach the area a different way and came in through the power lines. K9 Chazer was working down the power lines when a bush started moving. I was praying that whatever came out of that bush was friendly. Friendly he was! It was a dirty, happy Sully! He immediately recognized his family and was giving kisses to all.

Welcome home! Enjoy your new GPS collar.

Welcome Home Mittens! Mittens snuck out the door late on August 5th. Her furparents immediately started searching for her but were not able to find her. On day 7 they reached out to us for some assistance. They had had a few sightings but the sightings seemed far away for an indoor only kitty. On day 10 K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer were on the ground. They took us on a track only about 10 houses away. A plan was quickly put in place to help Mittens find her way back home. Mom left scent articles for Mittens along the track leading back to their house. They were instructed to lock their other pets up for the night and leave the front door open. Around midnight a Mittens doppelganger showed up and peeked inside. That one quickly left the area. Around 4:30 AM the true Mittens showed up and dashed inside. Welcome home sweet girl!

Gladys, an indoor kitty with outdoor privileges vanished on June 20th. On June 28th K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer came out to assist in the search. They took us to an area about 3 long blocks away and then lost scent. The area was wooded, had many sheds and fences that prevented us from accessing many areas. Thankfully Gladys has the best pet parents ever that never gave up on her. Countless feeding stations, flyers to each and every door, talking with neighbors, searching yards as people would allow. Three days ago they got the sighting they were needing. Someone had seen Gladys just at the end of their block! They immediately set cameras out and waited. Still no signs of her they decided to take a walk down there last night with the friendly neighborhood cat. As luck would have it they heard a tiny meow from under the bushes. Gladys emerged hungry and injured but alive. She is currently at the vet being treated and will hopefully make a full recovery. 42 days after the track she found only about 600 ft from where the track ended! It would appear that she trying to make her way back home after all this time.

Welcome home Gladys! We hope you have a speedy recovery! Updated pics to come soon.

Welcome home Pumba! Pumba escaped out of the front door that was accidently left open overnight. After 36 hours and no sightings Pumba's mom reached out for assistance. K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer both lead us down to a quiet park not far from home. We immediately put an action plan in place. A feeding station at the park and dropped scent articles leading back home. 12 hours later Pumba showed up on camera asking to be let back into the home. Unfortunately he didn't make it inside that night. The following night Pumba's mom was ready for him and he happily walked back in as if nothing had happened. Welcome home buddy!

Morticia who was recently adopted from Orange County AC decided she was up for a solo adventure around her new neighborhood. Much to her new parents dismay she wouldn't let anyone close enough to catch her. Thankfully she had a whole team of wonderful people wanting to help. They knew a trap was the only way to get her home safely. Within 4 hours of setting the trap this sweet girl took the bait. She is now home safe and sound. Congrats on your new Martingale collar. It's our understanding she is now on house arrest!

Welcome home Dixie! Dixie, a 17 year chihuahua left her yard on Sunday without a trace. Being hard of hearing and partially blind her family was frantic to find her. Both K9 Sadie and K9 Chazer circled a large ravine just 1500 feet from Dixie's yard. The brush was thick and incline down was steep. After trying multiple ways we were finally able to make it down to the ravine. Within minutes K9 Sadie was able to locate Dixie who was curled into a small ball at the bottom of the ravine. She is headed to the ER vet and will hopefully make a full recovery. Missing Animal Response Network

Welcome home Kitty King! Kitty King was lost from home after accidently taking a golf cart ride. He jumped from the cart about a mile from home. With only one sighting on Tuesday evening his furmom decided it was time to call in some additional help. K9 Sadie & K9 Chazer went out late Thursday evening to help bring this elderly King home. Their tracks showed that Kitty King was hanging out in a nearby resort. We advised the owners to flyer each condo and set up a feeding station near the pool where the dogs were circling. Two hours after the track Kitty King showed up π™Šπ™‰ 𝙏𝙃𝙀 π™π™π˜Όπ˜Ύπ™† as his mom was setting food and water out for him. He went without a fight and is safe and sound at home tonight! Welcome home Kitty King!
