Doggy Daycare 🐾 ⁣ ⁣ *𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱𝘴? ⁣ ⁣ Separating our groups by 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 + 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁⁣ Always supervised by a trained staff member,⁣ Medium/large breeds we limit 12 dogs per group. ⁣ ⁣ *𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯?⁣ ⁣ First we look at size and then energy. ⁣ Energy meaning personality, play style. ⁣ So this way we can create the best groups⁣ to fit each dogs unique personality type 🥰⁣ ⁣ For example, we wouldn’t place a shy ⁣ dog in a group with a lot of hyper dogs.⁣ ⁣ This would most likely overwhelm the shy ⁣ dog and cause them to react negatively.⁣ ⁣ A shy dog may do great in a group with⁣ some more mild energy dogs, or seniors.⁣ ⁣ These are the kind of assessments we make ⁣ when do our initial temperament test 🐕⁣ ⁣

Unfortunately, many people see muzzles as a negative thing because they are often misused. 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘉𝘢𝘳 + 𝘋𝘰𝘨𝘨𝘺 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘬⁣ ⁣ What do we think? 🤔 ⁣ ⁣ We personally think dogs and people ⁣ drinking is an accident waiting to happen. ⁣ ⁣ We already aren’t fond of dog parks because ⁣ we see so many dog park related incidents. ⁣ ⁣ And the idea of adding alcohol seems 🤯 ⁣ ⁣ Our main concerns would be:⁣ ⁣ 1. Are the dogs being screened?⁣ 2. Toys, Balls, and Food all over ⁣ 3. Mixing of different breed sizes ⁣ 4. Is there a lifeguard or trainer?⁣ 5. 🐾 Energy is not breed specific 🐾⁣ ⁣ We create our groups by 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 & 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.⁣ Temperament is a pet’s personality or energy!⁣ ⁣ Contrary to popular belief, a dog’s personality or energy is NOT determined by their breed. ⁣ ⁣ This is a generalization that can lead to a big misconception. Some people will use blanket statements like, “well, all boxers are hyper!” ⁣ ⁣ But that is not exactly true. It may generally be the case but it isn’t true for ALL boxers⁣. ⁣ And why does this matter for doggy daycare?⁣ ⁣ Because it’s important to not place dogs into groups by assuming the energy of their breed without having an actual assessment before.⁣ ⁣ This is why we get to know each pet through our 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 to determine which group will be the best fit for their 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦, & 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺! ⁣ ⁣ A good example of this is when we see dogs of the same litter.
