We had a fun weekend at Gateway ASC's show. The best part is always getting together with friends and celebrating each other's successes!
No huge brags from us, but Heist collected a few more RTCH points, and Tali got two lovely elite gambler Q's. Torque improved how he handled in the ring with every show and amazed me with how he naturally was nailing his free-stacks. (I've not trained these)

With the boys and Charm also at the show we had half the litter together, so we had to take a photo with momma Tali. :)

Life's been busy lately, but we were able to enjoy a couple local agility trials in the last month.
Tali is still slowly getting back into the swing of things after her last litter, but always having a lot of fun.
Riza has been making some huge improvements this year, and she's managed to pick up a handful of Elite Regular Q's, getting closer to that ATCH.
Heist is finally far enough in his agility training to get some FEO ring time. He's still new to sequencing, and obviously does a lot of baby dog stuff, but he's showing me some really cool things and I'm excited to see where he goes.
Though after giving me a lot of really good effort this weekend he's finally starting to enjoy himself a little more and test boundaries. 🙃
I of course had to get photos of the baby dog especially, for the photo dump, haha.

Had a fun weekend at the Old Fashioned KY ASC show! It's a nice chill show, and I got to catch up with friends :). This was a weekend mostly about the boy dog as we worked on rally and obedience primarily, and played in confo.
He was such a good boy working for me, even though his brain was about to overheat by the second rally show Sunday.
There were 2 rally and 2 obedience trials this weekend, and he qualified in every run, including 3 X legs in rally. This is only his second show weekend doing masters and excellent.
-He finished his CD and REX.
-4th REM leg
-2nd REMX leg
-2 BOB

The girls had fun getting attention, Riza got to show off how cute she is with her stylin' bandana, and the KOA we stayed at had hiking trails and some cool cave/overhangs we got to check out after the trial Saturday.

We started out the new ASCA year with a few firsts for Heist.
Since I couldnt leave the puppies overnight, Madie Williams took him to the Crossroads show. His first weekend away from home and first time without me there to handle him, and his first weekend out as a special. He was a bit silly and just got done blowing his coat, but he came home with his first BOB win over some nice specials.
He's still got some maturing to do, but I sure love this boy!

I was also able to make it for one day of the show and my bouncy boy got his first RM leg with a 191. (he lost every point with his excessive enthusiasm 🤣😅)

So proud of Charm and her human Lana Singleton for finishing her ASCA CH this weekend, even going BOB over specials from the classes!
This pair has been so busy doing all of the things! Lana has done an amazing job with her and I'm so happy that, more than what she can do, Charm is so evidently loved and a part of their family ❤️.

This is our second bred-by champion, and Tali's second finished offspring from her first litter, which doesn't even turn two years old until tomorrow! This litter was certainly full of beauty and brains. Two others from that litter are also pointed and major pointed. Thanks Lacey Kafer for letting me bring Tali to the handsome and talented Oliver.

Popped over to Columbus today for a RWD. The entries had the counts for a major, but there might have been one absent? Good boy handled it like a pro and had fun being my only dog for the day ☺️.

We had fun today at BASC/Medina's joint rally/obedience trial. My main goal for today was to finish Heist's RAX (he needed one X leg).
And he did that! Finishing his RAX with a 198, he moved up to Excellent for the second show. It was his last run of the day, and his brain was a little fried, but he did pull off a 193. As a fun bonus though, I put him in Novice Obedience just to see what he would do. I haven't proofed him to my satisfaction on Stand for Exam, and I really didn't think he would do the stays, but in the second show he pulled out a 193 and was HIT!

Tali also came out of semi-rally/obedience retirement. (she's been off for ~4 years) and got a REM double Q, and her second CD leg. Thanks Cynthia for taking her in for the stays! I wasn't expecting really anything from her today, was mostly curious to see what she would give me. And while I can still tell she doesn't enjoy this 'game' particularly, she still gave me some really nice moments of connection and showed me she can still work through something she doesn't enjoy, and being(possibly?) 4 weeks pregnant! There was a jump posted right by the start line in rally though, and as soon as I took the first step she bolted for it, thinking we were doing agility. Only to be very confused why there weren't more jumps.
Riza was being a little naughty, but pulled out some okay scores.
It's been a stressful week, and this morning was a little rough. While I could see that in all the dogs, Riza tends to feel those things the most. Enjoy this silly picture of her stress yawn after a long run while I get the leash. XD

The puppies are now old enough to compete in agility for real, and Charm knocked it out of the park her first weekend!
This girl picked up her JS-N and GS-N titles and went HIT Novice! I can hardly keep up with her adventure and I love it.

It's been a long, but fun week. We're excited to be heading home and see our little red Riza again.

More candids to come later, but wanted to share these gorgeous photos from Amber Jade Photography.

Heist was awesome this week. It's a BIG week for a 17 month old boy, and he made me very proud. He got 2 X legs and a regular leg for Rally Novice, finishing his RN and RNX, along with two BN legs. He also got to play in team Rally with friends, which I didn't realize was off-lead, but he rose to the occasion like a champ doing even better than his Novice run on Saturday. By Thursday he was a little burned out and brain fried, but he did so well with the week overall and remained my happy boy, not overwhelmed with the crazy environment. He also placed in his breed class all 3 preshows(he wasn't in the national), even surrounded by dogs with more hair and maturity than him. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this boy. Thanks Lacey Kafer for letting me bring Tali to Oliver for this cool cross.

Tali just got to play in agility and intact conformation finals this week. While not placing overall, she was still 9th in one of the judges scoring. She was a little thrown by the dirt in agility, but still had some really nice runs with just a bobble here and there.

Days 2 & 3 of Nationals and Heist is having fun. He went 3rd in the 15-18 month class both days, and today finished his RN with a 197 and 4th place, this is his 2nd X leg. His first ASCA title!
He also got his second BN leg with a 190.

Just wanted to take a minute to brag on the baby dog and show his haul from day 1 of Nationals! He's pretty excited about everything, but not at all nervous, he's having fun! We had to rush straight into the conformation ring today, but he eventually pulled himself together.

-4th in 15-18mo dog
-4th in Beginner Novice B 196.5
-193 Rally Novice
-2nd place Team rally (this was off lead Advanced which I forgot about, he performed even better than his novice run!)

His brother Ratchet also had a great rally run and won his novice A class!

So it's obviously early in the year, and I'm sure things will change drastically(at least as far as the boys, as I'm not trying to special them. For Charm? Well who knows, I need both eyes to keep track of what her and Lana are keeping busy with! 😉) but it's so fun to see 3 of the OliverxTali babies in the 2022-2023 ASCA standings!
Heist and Torque are in the intact conformation standings, and Charm is on the Rally Advanced Merit list!💙❤️💙

*and these guys are only 15 months old right now!

We had a fun weekend with friends at Gateway's ASCA trial this weekend!

Riza went WB on Saturday, giving her the last major she needed, and is now in the single point club.

Heist had his debut in a performance event with Beginner Novice obedience. I knew we needed more work on his sit for exam(he stood up), but was curious to see how he'd perform in a venue like that. After a Rocky start, he pulled himself together and would have had a 196 if he didn't NQ the exam!
He also got pushed to take a mandatory photo with his dad Oliver, who was not remotely as excited to meet his son as he was his daughter 🤣.

Charm (OliverxTali) finished her CD this weekend, got a new personal best in Dock diving, and had some really neat FEO agility runs! This little girl is doing it all and having a blast with her owner Lana Singleton.

We had a great weekend at the ASC of Michigan 50th anniversary show!

3 puppies from our OliverxTali cross (Lacey Kafer) were there and all 3 picked up major wins!
Torque(WD/BOW/BOS) and Charm(WB/BOW) (Lana Singleton) both got their first points/major this weekend.
Heist (WD/BOS) snagged his 3rd major.
Torque also picked up two RN legs!

Riza also did very well for herself in the altered ring this weekend, picking up 5/5 WB, several BOW, and a BOB!
She also placed second in the Dash for Cash as a part of the show's fun games. You go little red girl! (FirexNicki Dawn 'Mathias' Williams)

We had such a fun time camping with friends and meeting new people. I haven't been to this show in 5 years since Tali got her first points at 6 months, but it was great to come back!

Well we were only able to attend for one day, but we had an awesome time at the Crossroads ASC show! I was running back and forth with 4 dogs showing, but managed to make it work. One of my favorite shows of the year, where I get to see so many of my favorite people :) .

Heist was the star today. This was his first real weekend out and showed from the BBX class, in 3 shows he went:
-WD/BOW/BOS under SBJ Mary Quam 5 pt mjr
-WD under PBJ Corey Norman 3 pt mjr
-RWD under PBJ Lori Fausett
So thrilled with how this boy is doing at just 12 months old. He also picked up his CGC and TKN this weekend.

-1st place x2 in his very competitive 12-15 mo class, and was given a good look at for Winners.

We popped up to Kalamazoo last weekend for a joint location AKC/ASCA show. Not a lot of placements, but this was mostly a training weekend for the boys. They just turned a year old and have had minimal showing.
Heist gets the brag this weekend by going Reserve Winners Dog to a major out of a very competitive Bred By class at the AKC show on Sunday, his first non-class placement!

We had a fun weekend meeting new people and only going mildly insane with 4 dogs and just me (Torque came along for his first show weekend as well).

So happy to be home after a fun weekend at Gateway ASC's trial! We got to see and root for so many of our aussie friends 😊.

Tali went looking for conformation finals points and points towards her SCCH, and she got both! There were HUGE entries all weekend, ranging in the 30s-40s, and Tali walked away with a BOB(Janet Kelly) and 3 BOS(Ronnie Bates, Melinda Richardson, and Corey Norman) . Beyond thankful to the judges and for my blue girl for just having fun playing with me in the ring. I'll upload pictures later when I get them :).

Riza got an altered RWB and her first 2 double Q's in rally! She struggled a bit, but pushed through it to get those rally runs.

Heist just went for ring experience since he's still growing and only entered 2/5 shows, but he was a good, if not silly, boy and I can't wait to show this boy fir real when he's older 😊

We also got to see Charm this weekend and that girl is totally outclassing her goofy brother. So smart and a mesh of both of her parents. I wish I thought to write down what all she did. But she had some great rally runs and was a really good girl in conformation. I had the privilege of taking her in one of the shows and had a lot of fun, she is very much like her mother. 💖

Obligatory snow day post. Heist's first real snow experience... Very anticlimactic. Acted like this was nothing new. I guess thats a good thing.. Just not very entertaining, haha.

I worked this weekend, but Tali spent the weekend with one of her favorite people in the world at a show, picking up a BOB and BOS.

Had a fun weekend with friends at the Medina Swarm ASCA agility trial! Tali was a good girl and had some really nice runs(including some very close 'almosts' ), picking up Q's in Elite Gamblers and Jumpers.
Riza got 2 more elite Gambler Q's.
Heist was a very good boy and made new friends!
Also caught a cute generations photo with Heist. Tali, and grandpa Case! 😊

How we keep cool outside in the heat! (though we do actually bring the in during the heat of the day if it's too hot, and outdoor time like this is always supervised)

1 in 1 playtime with Freon. He is such a busy. Happy. Adventurous boy! He's bold and ready to check out everything. He's the most confident puppy currently, and doesnt hesitate much in new situations. He can be a bit bossy with his siblings, but he's also a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He has really grown on me the last few weeks, I didn't /dislike/ him to begin with, but he didn't stand out much to me. But he's really growing into himself and he's going to be such a fun dog.
