Riley is a 9mo Beagle mix going through our Day Train program to work on building her impulse control, leash manners, and overall obedience. Miss Riley had a rough start to her life but ended up in the best spot with her new mom! Despite her previous history, she is the sweetest girl and loves people...sometimes a little too much! Riley has been making great strides so far in her training and is working hard to listen to her mom and be the best friend she can throughout their time together.

Check out this before and after a nail grind!

Did you know that a dog’s nails should be trimmed about once a month? This will train the quick to recede. Now, you don't want them to have nubs that don't ever touch the ground because they do need to use those nails for gripping. Sometimes the more you walk on rough surfaces, the less they need trimmed since that surface can act as a file. However, now that is it getting colder we may not be taking those nice summer and fall walks that we love to take! The general rule is you need to ensure they are trimmed once you notice they are touching the ground while they are standing still.

We have decided to partner with U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) and they will be hosting some seminars in our classroom at Flyer's Paw Zone throughout the year to educate people for **free** on many interesting topics! Our next hosted seminar will be on November 8th from 6pm to 8pm and it is **completely free** to anyone interested. The topic is "Constitutional Carry and Self Defense".
