This beautiful girl was rescued outside of the Widener University Honors Building! She was hiding under the deck starving, but let me pick her up and sneak her in my dorm for a few days (don’t tell 😬😂). She was quickly adopted and grew up to be a beautiful girl and is also named Nala! Here’s an update from her furever mom
“Nala has grown to be a sweet, chunky girl, with a soft spot for her human mom. She tends to keep to herself in her bed, but makes sure to get attention when she wants it. She’s timid around strangers, but she accepts pets when it’s on her time. She has loved and adjusted well to two younger brothers, and she knows she’s the Queen of the group.”

An update on Minnie! She’s doing amazing in her furever home! She was adopted by @215.kay_ and you can tell how much she loves her new mamas from the pictures! She loves snuggling and is such a cutie who is now healthy and happy!

An update on Simba! He’s doing great! When he was found, he had scratches on his face, fleas and ticks, was bleeding on his face, his ears were filled with gross stuff, dirt, and mites, he had missing fur on his neck, his tail needed to be shaved because it was matted and covered in oil, and he is FIV positive. Now he’s clean, safe, healthy, and loved by his new mama ! Just look at how relaxed and happy he is now 🥺

Meet Simba (orange) and Minnie (grayish brown tabby)! While driving home at night in a storm, I noticed them from my headlights shining on them. They were hiding together under a car starving and wet. Simba also had a bloody face, which you can slightly see in the first picture. I pulled over and climbed under the car to grab them and put them in my car (luckily they didn’t fight back too much). Look at the next two posts for updates on them now!

Meet Duchess! AKA Little One (who quickly turned into Big One as time went on) 😬😂 Duchess is a love bug who loves to snuggle, pure, give kisses, and give kisses to all the other cats in the house. Someone contacted us about Duchess and mentioned that she was being abused and the family abusing her said that they were going to put her on the street to die in two days. We got in the car right away and took Duchess in! She is such a sweetheart and was a love bug right from the start. We decided to keep her instead of adopting her out because we couldn’t part with her ❤️ She quickly fell in love with and Elena Maccario! Stay turned for a part two post with more photos of Duchess now over a year later!

Meet Fiona! Fiona was rescued in 2019 from Chester, PA. I found her wandering the streets covered in fleas and ringworm. She was only skin and bones. I pulled over and picked her right up and she snuggled into me. I found out that she was someone’s cat, but they said they didn’t want her and that’s why they left her on the street. I later found out from others around the neighborhood that she was abused as well. We took Fiona in and rehabilitated her; we fell in love with her and ended up keeping her! She’s a feisty girl, but loves kisses. She loves going outside in the fenced in yard with the dogs (while supervised) and will meow by the back door until she gets to go outside with them 💕

Meet (in the order that they appear in the photos), Gemma, Freddy, Princess, and Simba. Gemma was around 1 when she got pregnant and her owner put her out on the streets. She gave birth to her four babies, and one person came by to rescue one, but left her and the three other baby girls. I found out about Gemma when her babies were around six months and went to catch them with the help of and . Gemma was the easiest to catch, eager to have a home again, and walked right in the carrier. The others were feral and a little difficult to catch, but were all safely brought home with Gemma. The last four photos are all of them in their forever homes. Gemma was adopted by , Simba sadly escaped from the house, but came back and has a little home outside, with food and water. We would rather her inside, but she will not come in. She is spayed though and happy and healthy (we even have cameras to check on her when she comes out at night). Princess and Freddy, who is now named Foxy, were adopted together by . Gemma loves being pet, Princess loves staring at the fish tank, and Foxy is happy to finally have her forever home! Gemma is now around 3, and her babies are around 2. ❤️

Rhea and Pip are now so happy! Pip loves snuggling and playing. Rhea is coming out of her shell and realizing she is safe and home ❤️ No matter what age Pip is, as shown in the first video in the comments, Rhea is a great mama and still gives him baths! Look out for another post in the future with Pip and Rhea, featuring the newest addition to their family (a cute little kitten)!

Here’s Pip and his mommy Rhea! Pip and Rhea were adopted together, which is great, because Rhea is such a good mom and loves her babies. They were adopted by . Pip loves running around, playing, and cuddling with his cat mama and human mama. Rhea was scared when we found her, so she’s still getting used to being around people; she loves having a warm home, food, fresh water, and still snuggles at night with her baby Pip! Updates on them now will be in the next post!

Here’s GiGi now! She’s almost 2 years old and loves her mom Anne and her cat sister Luna! She climbs anything and everything in the house and loves to burry fruit all around the house 😂 She still has her spunky kitten personality and is such a happy girl!

This is GiGi! She was part of the litter rescued that was recently posted. She was originally named Athena based on her spunky personality and how she was protective of her siblings when we first rescued them. She loves snuggling and playing with everything! Lanie, as seen in the previous few posts, is now almost 2 years old! She’s happy and loves cuddling, especially when she can climb under the blankets and curl up against you. She loves playing with her sisters Nala, Duchess, and Fiona (Duchess and Fiona’s posts are coming soon). She loves snuggling with her owners, Elena Maccario, , , and as well, and their two dogs, Bosco and Thomas. She talks all the time, meowing to everyone when she wants to be pet, just like she did when she was first found. ❤️

Here are pictures of Rhea (the mom), Lanie (all white with brown markings), Pip (brown, gray, black, and white), and GiGi (orange, white, and brownish gray) as they were growing up and getting healthy. They all had coccidia, Giardia, calicivirus, respiratory infections, heart murmurs, and Lanie had feline herpes on her eye (she’s the runt of the litter). They are all healthy now and found their forever homes! Updates on each of them in their forever homes will be posted over the next few days!

Meet Rhea, Lanie, Pip, and GiGi! They were rescued November 6th of 2018 at Widener University. After following Rhea (the mom cat) after seeing her around campus, she went straight to her babies to protect them. We were able to catch her three babies, but not her at first. We set a have-a-heart trap and she was in it by morning. We reunited them all that morning and she was, and continues to be, one of the best moms to her babies! The kittens were small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and Rhea was only 1. All of them had many parasites and sicknesses, but look out for the next post, for more pictures during their rehabilitation, and then their adoptions!
