Let’s meet another “mutt” shall we. Aux Lake HH Wyatt Earp(Aux Lake R Dukes Daisy x Glaciers Single shot mountain) Wyatt is our steady Eddy, Mr. Reliable. He has a heart of gold and a level of intensity thats hard to beat. He’s shy around people in day to day life but in the field we’re all friends. I waited almost 2 years for this little guy and it was well worth the wait. Wyatt is one that wants to please and succeed although we are still working through some retrieving issues on upland birds (slight feather aversion)he’ll bring back ducks all day long. Wyatt will always log the most miles for the day and he’s always steady on point. His confidence in the field has really improved these past couple of seasons, if says there’s a bird there, it’ll be there 98% of the time. I’m really excited to see what this wild bird season will bring. We tried a very short stent in the show ring and although the judges had nothing but good things to say about him we haven’t been back. We are hoping to get some X-rays and health clearances done so we can offer him at stud to the right girls. Wyatt has been the perfect example of “a good dog will basically train itself “. There’s not a day that goes by that he doesn’t make his grandma Belle proud.
