GCH Little Tots Estate Pandora 3*M (pending) started off our kidding season today with

Twin bucklings 😑

But healthy mama and healthy babies, so overall we're happy. These boys are sired by Agape's Prize Aint' That Lovin, son of Agape's Prize Priscilla Presle (2nd/1st udder 2 year old 2023 ADGA Nationals and 3rd/1st udder 3 year old 2024 ADGA Nationals).

If you're looking for a nice, affordable herdsire let me know! At least one of these boys will be available.

It is due date time for GCH Little Tots Estate Pandora 3*M (pending) but as you can see (left one in picture below with purple collar), she is still being her usual herd queen self with zero signs of kidding. We gave her injections to induce her late last night but with the hopes of having a mid day kidding tomorrow. The countdown is on!

Did you know we induce nearly all of our does? We choose this practice so that we can be present at all kiddings to lessen the risk of losing does and/or kids.

Proud to announce we are an ADGA Plus herd again for 2025. I strongly considered taking the year off from milk testing but then I remembered that even if we aren't testing, I still have to milk. 😅 Testing really doesn't add much work at all so might as well! Can't wait to see how all our FFs do on test and in LA!

Got a kidding pen assembled in the milk room just in case Pandora decides to kid during the storm/bitter cold we have coming the next couple days. It's supposed to warm up slightly by her due date Friday, but goats like to do crazy things 😅

As 2024 draws to a close, I would like to take a moment to reflect on our outstanding season. This was only our third season showing, and our herd blew my expectations out of the water. In 2023, we won a single rosette, which we were thrilled about at the time. On the way to our first 2024 show, I told my husband my goal was to win two rosettes this year. Imagine my shock when we surpassed that goal at the first show, returning with three! We concluded the year with 26 rosettes, including two Best in Show ribbons, and one finished champion! Most exciting for me, is that we had six homebred does win at least one rosette! I'm so happy with the direction my herd is headed and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish in 2025.

Just bred our last doe, if everyone takes, for the season! 🤞🏼 Perfect timing since I'm leaving for Europe this afternoon! Now we wait and hope no one recycles because I really do not want June kids. We have two juniors who will stay dry yearlings but any juniors that recycle will likely be added to that list.

I have had quite a few families reach out wanting 4H goats, pet goats, or homestead milkers. We are going to be trying something different this year! This girl reminds me so much of her dam Roamn Ranch Miss Kitty, who now resides at Wisteria Way. She is powerful and deep bodied but also just sweet, quiet, and easy to be around. Can't wait to see her freshen in March!

We've had a rough week on the farm with having to put a horse to sleep 😢 but we're back at it today trying to wrap up our breeding season.

We attempted to AI 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐑 𝐒𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐱 𝟏*𝐌 (pending) twice but she short cycled both times, so I gave up and bred her today to our new boy 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐥'𝐬 𝐁𝐒 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐔𝐩. Shaker's dam is the lovely 𝐆𝐂𝐇 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐥'𝐬 𝐑𝐎𝐑 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 & 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝟒*𝐌 𝐄𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝟗𝟏. Sioux and Lacie have very similar body styles and udder shapes. I'm hopeful that the kids from this pairing will be just as stunning.

Sioux was 2 x Best Doe in Show this year and she has 1 doeling and 1 buckling reservation open (free to make). PM if you'd like to get on her list.

As of today we are up to 12 confirmed breedings which means we are over halfway done! With the exception of our two May doelings who will be bred in December, every doe on our breeding schedule has been exposed (at least once 🙄) and is just waiting to be confirmed.

Confirmed today was 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥'𝐬 𝐀𝐓𝐋 𝐒𝐠𝐚𝐞𝐲𝐥. This junior doe is one that I am so excited about. She went to 2 shows this year and walked away 🥇Jr Grand Champion🥇 from both of them! Sgaeyl is sired by our promising young buck 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐀𝐢𝐧𝐭' 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧, son of CH Agape's Prize Priscilla Presle EEEE 92 (2 y/o score). Priscilla was 1st place udder in her class at Nationals the past two years.

Sgaeyl is bred to 𝐂𝐇 (𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠) 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐱. He went 3 x Grand Champion this year as a yearling buck.🏆🏆🏆 He is the son of Agape's Prize Sue CQ Cox who went 1 x Best Doe in Show this year as a 2 y/o. Sue CQ appraised VVVE 89 as a FF in 2023.
