When waiting for your lesson is super boring 🙄
What farm kids do to entertain themselves 🤦♀️😂
Testimony Tuesday! 🙏🐴
What brought your child to Freedom Reins?
-A Facebook event for an open house! I had been out of the horse world for 10+ years and wanted to introduce it to my children, but no longer had a "home" barn to visit. We attended the open house and it was a perfect fit! The homeschool lessons fit great with our schedule.
What physical/emotional struggles do they have?
-My son can be quick to "give up", so it's been wonderful to watch him persevere each week and see his improvement! He takes a lot of pride in riding and caring for the horses and never turns down the chance to visit the barn.
What benefits/improvements have you seen since coming to FR?
-He's learning how to be kind to his sister who is still gaining confidence in her riding. Usually the "dare devil" child, she's progressed slower and it's been good for her to be challenged and overcome her fears!
How has FR helped differently than traditional counseling or physical therapy?
-Kassi is so patient with my kids and they totally trust her guidance. It's been nice to step back and watch- and they listen to her quicker than they do to me! 😊
Any addition information you would like to share?
-Everyone at FR is so kind- to animals and humans of all ages and sizes. The care they give the horses is exceptional and is modeled in their lessons. Everyone takes the time to talk with my kids and they are learning compassion, patience, determination.... so much more than how to ride! FR has been the perfect environment for these lessons and we're so blessed and thankful to spend time there.

Testimony Tuesday! ✝️
What brought you to Freedom Reins?
He needed an activity that could boost confidence and make him feel good. He is in traditional therapy but we wanted to try something different.
What physical/emotional struggles do they have?
He has autism. He struggles with physical things, including poor coordination and gross motor skills. He struggles emotionally with anxiety and controlling/regulating his emotions.
What benefits/improvements have you seen since coming to FR?
He loves coming to the barn. He is learning responsibilities with taking care of animals. He is having more confidence every time he goes for a lesson. It has also helped with attention and focus.
How has FR helped differently than traditional counseling/physical therapy?
Being on a horse has a calming effect not seen in just traditional therapy. Being with the horses, you don't just have to talk, you can communicate on a different level.
Any additional information you'd like to share?
He loves coming to lessons and we hope to continue for a long time!
