We have some exciting news to share with you! 🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛
SPAY/NEUTER MOBILE VET IS COMING TO DECATUR beginning NOVEMBER 25, 2024!
We know there is an overpopulation of cats in our country, including right here in our own community, and want to promote spay and neuter...which is the number one way to tackle this issue.
We have found that the two biggest reasons people don't spay/neuter their pets is costs and having to travel out of county for low cost options.
In an effort to find a solution, we have reached out to and are working with FOUR DIRECTIONS VET, a mobile vet unit who will be coming to Decatur once, hopefully twice a month, depending on community response.
We have worked with both of these vets in the past and know they share our passion of wanting to curb the cat overpopulation problem.
This will be for cats only, to begin with...either personal/owned cats or community/tnr cats.
The first date for surgeries is scheduled for November 25, 2024. Future dates will be forthcoming.
Location will be in the east parking lot of Riverside Center in Decatur.
COST is $100 per cat. (Other services will be available at an additional cost if you choose to add any).
SPACE IS LIMITED to 20 cats per date.
To get started, click on the link below. You will be instructed how to register and will also be given information regarding pre-op, drop off and pick up instructions.
We hope this service proves to be a solution for many in our community and are looking forward to seeing where this leads. We hope to offer more options with this service as we progress.
We will be helping with check in and pick up and are looking forward to seeing you there!

A big THANK YOU you to our foster Julie Barnes and Summit City Wheelers Jeep Club members, foster Wendy Li and East of Chicago-Berne for this FUNdraiser today!
So little Snickerdoodle is my elusive girl lol. She is the only girl baby left. And she refuses to stand still long enough to get a picture taken. We will get it soon but for now my option is just to throw a video on here. Snickerdoodle and Oatmeal are "the twins". They really look quite a bit alike except for Snickerdoodle is just a little bit smaller. Same zoomies and same beautiful eyes.
Momma Cookie and Maggie are also in the video as well as all the cookie litter. They all came from the 46 dogs that came in.
Snickerdoodles specs are the same as the other ones.
If you're interested in providing a loving forever home for her, please fill out an application on our website. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome her into your life!
Her adoption fee is $350. It includes 3 rounds of dhlpp, rabies and bordetella, 2 rounds of wormer, microchip, nueter, new leash and training collar by Max and Neo, and on heartworm prevention 😃.
Please be honest and thorough on your app, list all Vets used and answer all questions.

Here are some of the 47 dogs from our last intake!
Their vetting has been or is being completed and they are ready for adoption or foster to adopt if they still need vetting done).
This group of 47 dogs are so sweet and you will not be disappointed if you choose to add one to your family!
Just ask any of us, their fosters, those who already adopted one of them or the volunteers who come clean and walk the dogs for fresh air and exercise! They are easy to fall in love with and will return that love 1000%!
There are several not in the video as they are either in foster homes or recovering from spay/neuter surgeries. They include (and I'm probably forgetting someone): Lady, Spookie, Goldie, Baby, Hoppy, Goofy, Winky, Maggie, pup Duke, Mama Woofie and pup Possum (they are not yet available), Mama Sadie and pup Simon, Mama Cookie and pups Chip, Oatmeal, Oreo, Snickerdoodle and Sugar (she is pending adoption).
You can find all of the dogs' pics and bios in our adoptables album.
Please consider adopting!
