Endochondral Ossification of the Elbow joint in the dog
Age 1 week - 12 months.

Very interesting to see how your dog is still developing up to a year old. I hope this can help people understand how high impact or repetitive loading like jogging too early can damage the growth plates in your puppies joints, damaging the cells can stop or alter growth, this can lead to deformities in the bones and joints later leading to instability and degeneration.

Bigger dogs mature much slower than smaller dogs so always speak to a Vet or a Vet Physio to see at what age for your breed specifically you can start to do higher intensity exercises with your dog.

Cardier isn’t certified yet. She’s not old enough but we are still getting her socialized. BTW…she’s a natural. A gentleman told me, out of the blue that being close to her, touching her was therapeutic and I agree with him. I let Eden set this one out, just focusing on Cardi today and her soft, mega puppy coat and head dress bring lots of attention her way and we love every minute of it!

Fun day yesterday at Columbia Cottage in Hartselle, Alabama. Eden laid down and decided we’d stay awhile. I broke out my Camo pants and tried to blend in. 😊 I enjoy the residents and the employees. It’s always a welcoming atmosphere.

My girl. We both began as Newbies. First time either of us attempted the conformation ring…We were both a mess (Green) and the judge still loved her. 😊

My 8 year old Sr. Newfie. There will never be another Finn. I never knew I had such a love for an animal until he opened my heart 8 years ago to this special breed. He’s no show dog. He doesn’t need to be for he’s the best companion and devoted friend of our lives. I believe every dog has a purpose and he has fulfilled his.
