This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for our incredible cat community here in NE Iowa — the volunteers, fosters, donors, and kind humans who make our work possible. 🧡

We’re especially grateful that this sweet mama and her baby made it to safety just in time, before the snowstorm rolls in this weekend. And a huge thank-you to Nicki for spending her Thanksgiving rescuing this precious pair.

Meet Mrs. Puff 🧡

Mrs. Puff is an absolutely adorable buff-and-white beauty around one year old with the softest fur and the most captivating eyes.

She’s a playful, energetic girl who loves having fun and being part of the action — whether she’s chasing toys, wrestling with her friends, or snuggling up for attention. Puff’s personality is as sweet as her name, and she absolutely adores being around her people.

Mrs. Puff is looking for a home that’s open to a special-needs kitty. She experiences occasional mild seizures, which seem to be triggered by loud noises or overly busy environments. The good news? Her episodes are brief, and as soon as they pass, she’s back on her feet — happy, loving, and ready to play like nothing ever happened.

🐾 Big Mama & Miss Fluff Update!

We love getting messages like this from adopters ❤️

"I just wanted to give you another update on Mama and Fluff. We are SO happy to have these two amazing cats! They both like to be near us pretty much all the time. Mama will jump on us and plop down, headbutting our hands to demand pets at any opportunity. 🤣 Mama loves meowing while bringing us cat toys as gifts...during the day and in the middle of the night. She's very thoughtful. Hehe Fluff loves chasing after toys and loves playing tag with Mama around the house. She walks up to us for pets frequently, but within the past couple days she actually has jumped up to sit on me too! She is still timid and sometimes ready to dart away at a moments notice, but she usually comes right back just as quickly. Attached are some pics of them loving life. ❤️ Thank you for fostering them. They are loved, and we're so thankful to have them as part of our family."

Anyone near Harper’s Ferry able to help this girl? She’s been showing up at a cabin for meals and attention, but the people staying there are leaving soon and hate the thought of her being alone in the cold. We’re trying to line up a foster spot for her — even a very temporary home would be amazing. 🙏🏻

Meet Autumn 🍁🤎

This petite calico sweetheart is around a year old and insanely sweet and affectionate — the kind of cat who always wants to be right next to her person (especially at night, when she’ll curl right up beside you for cuddles 💤). She’s the ultimate snuggle bug who loves laying either on or right next to you, soaking up all the love she can get.

Autumn is gentle, mild-mannered, and so easy to love. She gets along wonderfully with other cats and dogs, and would do great with respectful kids too. She just wants to be wherever her people are — ideally on your lap, purring contently.

If you’re looking for the sweetest, snuggliest little companion, Autumn is your girl. 🍂💕
