As a small cat coalition, one of the things we value most is the relationship we have with our local Northeast Iowa rescues. We help as many cats as we can thanks to our partnership with Camp Companion, but we can't do it alone.
A couple weeks ago, we were contacted about four kittens and a mama cat living outside at a rural property near Waukon. The finder was wondering if we could find placement for the kittens. We told her we would be sure to fit the kittens in, and we also offered to spay mom (which she took us up on - yay!!). Well, we've had kittens coming out of our eyeballs and it's showing zero signs of slowing down. With SO many kittens in need of help, we reached out to Heart Animal Rescue, who graciously agreed to intake all four kittens for us. Today, all four kittens are safe in their HEART foster homes, and we're making immediate plans to get mama cat fixed and returned to her outdoor home.
Cat rescue takes a village, and we sure have a great one! Thanks to a bit of teamwork, five more lives have been saved 😍
