We are HOME !!! thank you everyone for your prayers. Oliver has to stay away from sickness so we will be stuck at home but we are so happy to be home.

Update on Mr. Oliver 02-23-25
Oliver is still in the hospital; his RSV is getting better and so are his ear infections with the antibiotics. but he is having some major pain in his jaw and teeth. we are still trying to figure out what is causing all the pain he does get pain management, and he feels good till it starts to wear off. But with his white blood cells being so low we can't figure it out till they go up. so, we have to wait. we do not know how long, hoping we can go home soon. Oliver is in high hopes, good vibes, and can't wait to go home. I will continue to keep you all updates as much as possible. again, thank you for all your well wishes and prayers ❤

Update on Mr Oliver,
Well, we have been admitted to the hospital on 02-18-25 Oliver has double ear infections and RSV and a common cold, his white blood cells are also down. he had to be put on oxygen because his levels keep dropping. We were told if we can't get his oxygen leaves up to where they need to be they will have to move us to the ICU floor. prayers that we don't have to do that. I have said this before, but I will keep saying it. Thank you all so much for your love and support and prayers. I will keep you all posted as much as I can.

I am so happy to hear about how many of you are fallowing Luke to his shop on HWY 2. I did want to tell you that I can groom small dogs out of my house in the north side of Spokane. I am not set up for big dogs yet but hope to be soon But I can groom dogs up to 30LBS so if Luke can't get you in his shop or if you just want me to groom your pup please, PM me on here and I can see if we can get your pup all cleaned up :) I am happy to be able to stay at home with Oliver and still be able to groom a little bit for a hobby right now. 🐶

Saturday February 15th is childhood cancer awareness day. On that day let's all take a moment to pray or send out some good vibes to children who are fighting the fight for those who have won the fight for the families who have lost the fight and for those who haven't started the fight but will be told they will have to.

Great News!!! The main groomer we have had for the past 9 months Luke is going to be opening up a place on HWY 2 right next to the Mercantile. I know he would love to have the opportunity to keep grooming your fluffy friends. To all my faithful, loyal, clients,
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I am announcing the closing of Nose To Tail Pet Grooming. As most of you know, my son Oliver was diagnosed with leukemia in March of last year and I have become his full-time care giver. Being a single mother of Oliver and my other son Hudson it has been incredibly difficult to be at the shop and keep it up and going with all of Olivers doctor's appointments and emergencies. I do not know when I would be able to come back consistently because of the unknowns with Olivers care .
My team at Nose To Tail has been awesome with grooming and keeping the shop open. There does come a time when you know you just can't keep going and you have to stop. This is the time.
I love all of my clients and their fur babies so very much and could not have done these almost 3 wonderful years without you. This has not been an easy decision to let go of my dream and it breaks my heart to let everything go that I have worked so hard for, but right now I need to do what's best for my family. Thank you so much for your years of support and especially this past year. Our last day will be January 31st 2025.Thank you for all of the support prayers and love.

Here is an update on Oliver. We are still at the hospital. as of 12-30-2024 it went from being told we will be in for 1 to 2 days to almost a week. It is crazy/scary on how fast things can change. one moment we are watching fireworks out the window the next min we are in the bed with a 103.8 fever and not wanting to move. Oliver had to have 3 IV's put in 2 of which stopped working. and he pulled them out. 15 rounds of antibiotics with many doses of Tylenol. His fever would go down to 101.2 then would go right back up to the 103's. so we had to figure out if it is an infection from the new port placement. So we had to get more blood for blood cultures. and still waiting for the results on those. When we get to go home Oliver is going to have a vest and a backpack with bags of chemo inside them and every week we will go in and have the bag changed and have his port bandage changed and a new port needle. so we have to remove the one in his port and put a new one in. so not fun at all. I want to again thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. We will keep you all updated of how Oliver is doing :)

A little bit late but here is the update on Mr. Oliver,
We are here at the hospital on New Year's Eve. Olver had his new port placed and now we are starting his 28-day long chemo. he has to wear a backpack with his chemo inside it for 28 days straight. with this kind of chemo, it can give him a fever so we will be ringing in the new year at the hospital. BUT after this round of chemo, we should be in Maintenace fingers crossed. It has been a tough year but with the new year here it will be a good year of healing. thank you all for the counited prayers and support. we will update you all aging soon on this little mans journey.

Mr. Oliver update, some of you know Olivers port got an infection in it, after many rounds of antibiotics he had to have his port removed and a picc line placed till he can get a new port placed. when he got his picc line placed we had some complications but thank God everything is ok. thanks to his nurse that saw something that wasn't right and fixed it. On December 31st he will get his new port placed. We will be admitted to the hospital on that day also as he starts another round of 28-day chemo. with this 28-day chemo treatment it will give Oliver a fever, so he has to stay in the hospital till that passes, probably 2 to 3 days.

The day after thanksgiving he had to get a lumber puncher and chemo treatment.

these last few rounds of chemo have been kind of hard on his little body. he has gotten really sick, and his NG came out from being so sick from chemo, so he really hasn't wanted to do much of anything. somedays he has to be close to the bathroom because he is so sick feeling.

He has had some really good days and some really bad days.

He did get an early Christmas present; He got a kitten who he loves so much. this kitten gives him comfort and peace we are very thankful for her. "Trixie" sleeps with Oliver every night and every morning Oliver wakes up he asks for his kitten :)
