Welcoming Lulu to The Prodigal Pooch Family! Lulu is here for our 19 Day Resident Training Program. She will be covering everything from Basic to Advanced Obedience including her Off Leash Training Foundation. Lulu also will be working on not jumping up on people, playful nipping/biting and mouthing, potty training and much more! Be sure to follow along and watch her progress

We had a group lesson with Swell, Baby, Eavy and Bootsie! Everyone is progressing in their programs nicely and we can’t wait to show Baby and Bootsie’s owners all of their progress!

Bootsie here to demonstrate the Down command! She’s also got her Down hold down as well! She’s also reviewing everything else she has learned during the video and will begin working on confidence building and distraction work!

Baby has been working hard so far during her stay with us! Here she and Trainer Anthony are working on her Sit Hold, Heel and Auto Sit and Sit commands. All of our commands come with an implied stay. We achieve this by developing impulse control and holding dogs accountable to holding their commands. Baby is a quick learner!

Baby is here for our 12 Day Resident Training Package! We will be focusing on Basic Obedience, leash manners, potty training and over all teaching her how to calm herself amongst distractions such as dogs and people! Everyone please help us welcome Baby to The Prodigal Pooch Family!

Spencer working on socialization and desensitization around children. He previously had bitten a child and the county had to get involved. We work with owners and their dogs to help help their pups become more comfortable and accepting of all types of stressors so that bites do not happen or are less likely to happen. Spencer has come a long way from biting me at our consultation so we are hopeful for his and his owners future success. Now is the time for his owner to learn and put into practice what we are going to work on so that Spencer is never put into a situation to bite again.

Spencer has been hard at work learning to tolerate the stresses of life and the stresses of meeting new people. He came to us a biter that had bitten Children and Adults. Progress has been made and the true work will begin when he goes back home. Extremely proud of this guy and all involved!

Spencer has been working on learning to move with us and how to Sit on command. Here Trainer Anthony is working on teaching Spencer what Sit means by applying light leash pressure upwards and saying the command. When he Sits Anthony is releasing pressure and praising Spencer! Spencer is two and he hasn’t had to listen and follow directions like this before. Developing his ability to focus and follow direction will be a big priority for us while he is with us. We’ve got work to do but this is where we are at!
