Is ArthramidVet right for your horse?

Osteoarthritis can develop in horses of any age, breed, or discipline, and managing the disease can be challenging.

ArthramidVet is best used in any synovial joint showing signs of dysfunction, such as pain, effusion (fluid), reaction to flexion, or visible lameness.

Treating multiple joints at once is safe, and arthritic conditions, whether recent (acute) or longer-term (chronic), are suitable.

Ideal candidates for ArthramidVet are those where a veterinary assessment has localized the pain or inflammation to the joint and arthritis has been confirmed. The most commonly treated joints include coffins, fetlocks, carpus (knees), hocks, and stifles. Success has also been reported in other synovial structures.

Dr Jason Lowe recently joined Dr Lisa Fortier and Dr Sarah Wright on the Veterinary Vertex podcast to discuss his research paper recently published in JAVMA - Histologic and cytologic changes in normal equine joints after injection with 2.5 iPAAG hydrogel reveal low-level macrophage-driven foreign body response.
