Elliott got his hoof trim today.
I love the fact that learned to trim my own donkeys feet. I can quickly identify any problems and correct them before it gets out of hand.

This is kurt. He is a 3 year old Jack that had lost trust in humans because he was being treated like a horse. He had spend 2 months at a horse trainer which furthered his anxiety and mistrust, until all he wanted to do is kick and bite to defend himself.

I have been working with Kurt for about 6 weeks using positive reinforcement. He still has some trust issues, but he is no longer biting and kicking. Today, he let me trim his well overgrown hooves and we even got to practice putting a saddle on. We have also been working on standing tied.
Needless to say, Kurt did great.

I took Megan's course several years ago and now trim not only my own donkeys, but also the donkeys that I train.
The online course was easy to understand and follow, with many great illustrations and one on one coaching. Thank you Megan, I'm forever greatful.😘
