✨Star is a super unique 2-year-old female with the cutest big ears and a personality to match. 🐾 Star is very smart and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, and wait--she's also very food motivated, so you'll have no trouble teaching her new tricks. Star is would prefer to be the only pet in your home so she can soak up all your love. She loves attention, cuddling, and exploring the world one walk at a time. Though she can be a bit shy at first, her big, adorable ears make it hard not to fall in love with her. Meet Bobbin 😍

Adorable Bobbin needs a very special home. Bobbin is a 6-year-old, long-haired, friendly, male, “special needs” cat and we want to find the perfect home for him! 🐾
He has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a birth defect where the cerebellum, the part of the brain responsible for balance and coordination, has not fully developed. This causes Bobbin to have a head tremor which worsen’s when he’s nervous and a ‘goose-step’ walk, but he can move fast when motivated. This condition is NOT painful or contagious. This just means he might need the occasional help getting off high objects, rugs/matts that make it easier for him to get around, low litterboxes, etc. He gets along really well with other cats. Bobbin is a special cat, has a very gentle nature and is very loving. 💙

We are looking for a indoor only home, willingness to adapt to his needs, and someone patient with lot’s of love to give this sweet guy. He deserves it! 🫶🏻

We have a few shelter staff that have adopted Cerebellar Hypoplasia cats of their own who would tell you they make great additions and would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Nova’s got the best smile around 😂😬🐾

Meet Nova, a very fun and affectionate girl!
Nova is a 2 year old, 40lb mix. If you are looking for a pup with the perfect mixture of energetic and relaxed then look no further. While Nova has tons of energy to burn she is also the get on the couch and snuggle type of girl. 🐶
We see lots of walking or hiking, adventures and naps in her future! Nova also knows some basic commands such as sit, stay and spin. She is very food motivated and eager to learn so training should be a breeze. Nova also loves to smile!
Nova is quite a diva and wants all your undivided attention so she needs to be your one-and-only, or she can co-exist with a super chill, dog savvy cat. Nova loves everyone she meets but would do best in a home with older children due to her high energy. This girl is an amazing dog and a heart stealer!🧡

Meet Berg and Sharon🐾

They are an incredibly sweet pair who would love to bring their unique personalities to your family. These two came into the shelter and have become volunteer and staff favorites! If you're looking for two new best friends, then Berg and Sharon are the perfect duo for you! 🥰 These two love going on walks, exploring, and sniffing around. They're the perfect pair of siblings to keep you and your family entertained, with different but complementary personalities! Berg is a bit of a goofball and shy, while Sharon is sweet and loves to make new friends. These two are always up for a new adventure, but they do need a pet parent who can show them patience and help them adjust to a new home and routine, but trust us, the payoff is more than worth it! Meet Manny🐾🌹
This boy is sure to bring lots of love into your home and would make the best companion. He has been a staff favorite since the day he came in! Manny is a people person and will be your very best friend if given the chance. He loves everyone and is just overall an easy going guy. Manny is also smart, sweet, housebroken, gets along with dogs, and knows all the basic commands, so he is practically the perfect dog! Manny recently had a leg amputation to remove a cancerous mass, so he is currently in recovery, doing very well, and would love a family that can give him the rest and relaxation he needs to fully heal. He makes up for his lack of a leg by his giant heart and he definitely deserves a new place to call home. ♥️

Cupid must’ve missed this guy cause he’s still looking for his fur-ever Valentine! 💘

Meet Parker the handsome, lovable, 3-legged boy.🐾 Parker had to have his leg amputated recently and is recovering wonderfully! ❤️‍🩹 He is an easy going guy who’s super friendly and loves all the attention he can get. Parker has had a great attitude since arriving to the shelter and hasn’t let anything slow him down. He seems to get along well with everyone including other cats and dogs and would adjust well to any new environment.

🐾🎄✨Special delivery from Santa!✨🎁🎅🏼 Meet Layla, the tiny pup with a huge personality! This little lady is about 35-40 pounds of pure energy. Despite her small size, she more than makes up for it with her big attitude. Layla is a sweet and affectionate girl who is a classic "Huge-Personality-in-a-Small-Package" type of dog. However, she's very unsure and nervous around new people. It will take some time, patience, and lots of treats, but once Layla warms up to you, you'll have a funny and loving companion for life. Layla needs an adult-only home with no kids or other pets. Her perfect home would be a low-traffic, calm and predictable space where she can take her time exploring and getting comfortable at her own pace. She's a special girl who needs a patient and understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to blossom. Our annual Holiday for the Heart Tree Celebration is less than one month away✨🎄 Join us Saturday, December 7 at the Delaware County Historical Association and enjoy beautifully decorated trees, live music, a bake sale, and unique holiday shopping—all to benefit the Humane Society! 🎁🍪 Admission is a $5 donation (includes one raffle ticket), and kids enter free with a parent. Don’t miss the raffle for beautifully decorated holiday trees from 3-4pm.
