We saved Sweet Grace, who is now Oreo to us (grace is not a manly name, lol) From euthanasia. He is been nothing but the sweetest calm boy who just wants love thus far. ❤️

12/8 Update! Grace has been rescued by CLP Animal Rescue!

12/7 Update! Smiley was rescued by Raidens Haven and Lady Moo is showing a rescue hold!

There are five dogs on the Last Chance (Euthanasia) List at Orange County Animal Services, Orlando, Florida. Grace and Smiley are available for rescue placement only. Meninas, Buck, and Lady Moo are available for both rescue placement and adoption. They must be adopted by 5:30 PM Tuesday, December 9 or have a rescue hold by 6:00 AM Wednesday, December 10 or they will be euthanized. OCAS is offering a $100 incentive for each dog to rescue partners.

⭐️ Grace has been at the shelter three times all for minor bite incidents. In each incident Grace was loose and bit a person on the calf and then ran away. After this last bite incident his owner chose to surrender him to the shelter.

At the shelter it is noted that Grace greeted handlers with loose wiggly body language, walked nicely on leash, and immediately sought affection from handlers.

Grace is 3 years old, weighs 21 pounds, is not yet neutered and tested negative for heartworm disease. Grace is available for rescue placement only.

⭐️ Meninas came into the shelter as a stray in July. She is noted to be very friendly and seeks affection from handlers. She is energetic and food motivated.

Meninas was successfully paired for two months before a fight occurred in her kennel which was tripled at the time (3 dogs in one kennel). Meninas was tested with other dogs after the fight and would approach with intrusive behavior and high energy, but was able to play and be paired with other high energy tolerant dogs. Over her extended stay at the shelter her behavior has begun to decline and she is no longer able to be paired. She is highly reactive to other dogs and is displaying signs of stress both in her kennel and in the yard.

Meninas is 2 years old, weighs 41 pounds, is spayed, and tested negative for heartworm disease. Meninas is available for adoption or rescue placement.

⭐️ Smiley came to the shelter in September after a bite incident. Smiley got loose from his collar and someone attempted to pick him up and was hit on the hand with minor injuries. His owner reclaimed him and a few weeks later Smiley came back to the shelter as a stray. The owner was contacted again and never came back for Smiley.

At the shelter Smiley has shown conflicting body language with handlers. He would approach his handler and play bow but then stiffen if handler attempted to play. He allowed petting but seemed stiff. He is very food motivated.

Smiley is 5 years old, weighs 14 pounds, is neutered, and tested positive for heartworm disease. The cost of his heartworm treatment is sponsored by the shelter. Smiley is available for rescue placement only.

⭐️Buck came into the shower in October as a stray. He is noted to be friendly with people, pulls hard on the leash, and shows signs of being housebroken. He was paired with other dogs and initially dis well.

Shortly after coming to the shelter, Buck was quarantined due to a URI. He has been observed chewing on the tip of his tail. It has been noted that Buck has a firm mass in his right lumbar spine region.

After his neuter surgery Buck was placed back in a kennel with his previous kennelmate and immediately went after them. Buck’s stress and anxiety have been increasing with his time at the shelter.

Buck is 6 years old, weighs 64 pounds, is neutered and tested negative for heartworm disease. Buck is available for both adoption and rescue placement.

⭐️ Lady Moo came into the shelter in November as a stray. The clinic has determined that she has an enlarged spleen, an enlarged heart, and advanced heartworm disease. She allowed full handling and explores the play yard independently. Due to her medical conditions, she has not been tested with other dogs.

Lady Moo is 10 years old, weighs 34 pounds, is not spayed, and tested positive for heartworm disease. The cost of her heartworm treatment is sponsored by the shelter. Lady Moo is available for both adoption and rescue placement.

We are currently experiencing an unusual situation at our rescue organization, but we are committed to providing the necessary care for the animals in our charge. Five adorable puppies joined our family yesterday, and we are thrilled to share the news. Although we face a long and challenging journey ahead, we are dedicated to ensuring the well-being of these little miracles. To support our efforts, we kindly request donations of essential items, including towels, blankets, puppy food, puppy pads, and cat food and litter. The past week has been financially demanding for our organization. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this information with others. To arrange for towel and blanket donations, kindly send us a private message. We appreciate your support and generosity.
