Why Ragdolls?
Ragdolls are best known for their affectionate personalities and gorgeous, silky, smooth coats, which have a very soft texture, like a rabbit’s. A Ragdoll’s coloring will darken as it matures, and because they don’t have an undercoat, Ragdolls also shed less and are easier to groom than other long-haired breeds.
Because of their calm, laid-back personalities, Ragdolls are wonderful with children and other pets. Ragdolls are actually known as “puppy cats” because of their tendency to follow people around like dogs. They can even be taught to play fetch! The name of the breed is derived from the cats’ tendency to relax and go limp, like a rag doll, when picked up
