Illustrator and Fine Artist My appreciation of whimsy and beauty doesn't stop at the canvas.

When I'm not sipping tea and smudging pigment on my cheeks, you can find me being overly competitive over a board game, telling the same four jokes over and over, having a smiling contest with my daughter, or tripping over my feet. I'm also a lover of the up-cycling craze, and get a kick out of making what's old new again. I studied Illustration and Painting in scenic Savannah, Georgia and now reside in Colorado with my finely coiffed husband, our little girl, and two cats.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is leave it all behind! Parenting and working from home during summer is HARD. I had the privilege of sharing a “productive procrastination” weekend away with a couple of my critique partners and fellow SAHM/illustrators and it was just what we all needed (minus the altitude adjustment). 10/10 would recommend. Thanks for the reset and

Like many artists, I’ve chosen to archive the majority of my work and am giving a try. I’ll likely re upload some version of some of my work here and see how things go. I don’t like it, but Meta is using unethical practices and it feels like the best move at this time.

I received some amazing new supplies I’m excited to experiment with, but for now I just had to share this “just because” gift from my sweet, talented nephew. I shared one of his amazing bird drawings a while back and have been telling him how much I adore his work and would love some for my walls. He and his mom surprised me with this gorgeous hand painted bowl and my face was like 🥺😭🥰🤩 He told me it’s specifically to be used for ramen and ice cream, which is lucky for me because those are probably the two things I eat the most… it’s so beautiful, and the little Radish surprise is inside is almost too much to handle. 🐦 🥣

My entry for this the 2023 Congrats to Jerry Bennett on his grand prize win!!
This was really fun to work on. This year’s prompt: In honor of the 120th anniversary of the first successful flight of an airplane (on December 1, 1903), create a sequence of three or four drawings that tell a story of experimentation: the trial and error—perhaps the excitement— of invention.
