✨July Senior Spotlight: Summer✨

Summer, who often goes by Sweet Pea or Summertime, has lived in Texas, Florida, and finally her favorite spot Colorado. She’s 12 years old and loves swimming, paddle boarding, and lunch time.

She dislikes taking selfies (candid photos only), and the vacuum (vacuums are scary)

✨Patient of the week: Frankie✨
Frankie, or more formally referred to as Frankenfoot, or Frankenfarts, was adopted by her family 7.5 years ago from Camden County, NJ.

She loves her brother Beans, cuddling, playing dress up (she has a whole wardrobe), and wrestling.

She really dislikes loud noises, the vacuum and bugs (bugs are scary).

She was the best girl for Dr. P this week!

✨Patient of the week: Mocha✨
Mocha, or Mocha Bean as she is known at home has been with her parents for 6 years now. She is the sweetest girl who loves people, cuddles, and talking. Her only dislike is being ignored.

✨Patient of the week: Mork✨
Mork, Morkie, Morkle, and Morkie Poo was adopted by his forever family on May 22nd, 2018 from an Illinois rescue that his Mom volunteered at.
He is a very happy boy and doesn’t dislike anything. However, he loves treats, and sleeping under blankets. Our medical team loves his cute face and cute toes.

✨Senior Spotlight: Lily✨
Lily was adopted by her forever family at 8 weeks old from a rescue in Southern Illinois. She will be turning 15 years young this upcoming week (Happy Birthday, Lily!).

At home she goes by Lil, or Silly Lily.

She used to love playing Frisbee but in her golden years she just enjoys carrying it around. Other likes include attention and looking for rocks in the river.

She dislikes the neighborhood squirrels and birds that tease her.

✨Patient of the week: Monster✨

Monster was a farm cat in Nebraska when he came into his family’s life in 2010. He answers to the names Monster Mash, or Monster Mashed Potato.
He loves food, cuddling, and tummy rubs.
He dislikes his new brother, Louie, and being told it’s not time to eat yet.

Zuko was brought home on April 4th, 2022. He goes by Zukes, Mini Moosh, and Booshy.
He loves his big brother, Holden, sunbathing, and snacks.
He dislikes being left alone and the rain.
He was great for his big boy shots with Dr. Mendola!

Liam or “Ham” as his family calls him, has been in his forever home for 10 years.
He loves belly rubs, naps, and begging for food.
He dislikes being woken up from his naps.

Liam was the best boy for Dr. Mendola today!

✨Senior Spotlight: Daphne✨

Daphne has been with her family since she was 8 weeks old. She goes by Daphers, Daphodil, and lil ole lady.

Her likes include: frisbee chasing, nuzzling her nose into you while getting pets, and being outdoors.

Her Dislikes include: being in photos, getting groomed, or cuddling when it’s hot out.

She has been a familiar face in our medical department and brightens everyone’s day when she visits. Overland loves you, Daphne!

Digby is our patient of the week! Digby is one of our frequent flyers in resort and daycare. Adopted from a local rescue in 2018, estimates place him at 6 years old. Since his origins are unknown, his parents are forced to presume he comes from royalty. Like any pet, his actual name is rarely used. Digby, Diggles, Mr. Digglesworth, Mr. Buddy, King of the Castle, The Boss, Bubboo, Bubbs... Does he answer to any of them? No. Additionally, due to his small stature, he’s often called the Dark Shark because you only see his floofy tail as he's roaming the house. Likes: squeaky, floppy toys, breakfast, dinner, second dinner. Dislikes: squirrels, trailers, fireworks, and the vacuum. If you can’t get enough of Digby like us, give him a follow!

✨Patient of the week: Arlo✨

Arlo was found running loose on his family’s street. While looking for his owner, they kept him overnight and with no luck took him to Denver Animal Shelter. After 10 days no one claimed him, so his family decided it was meant to be.

He was such a good patient for Dr. Mendola this week.

Canelo is known by his loved ones as Roro and by Dr. Mendola as little sweet potato.
He was rescued 11 years ago by his forever family.
He is a ladies man, loves baby food and sleeping with his humans.
He dislikes all squirrels.

Pippin came home to his family on March 21st. He was the best boy for his visit with Dr. Mendola.

He loves playing with his big brother, Baloo, being the center of attention, his toys, and watching his human sister’s tennis matches.

Also known as Tonker Butt, Loony Tunes, and Tuna, she was adopted by her mom a year and a half ago from the Broward County shelter in Florida. She was the best girl for her medical appointment this week.

Her likes include walks, kibbles, and cuddles. She dislikes the blow dryer and vacuums.

✨Senior Spotlight✨

Royal, or Royal Dog to those closest to him, was adopted on Easter in 2011 by his forever family. In his younger years he loved running and playing catch, but now his favorite things are food (of all kinds), and sleeping on the floor.
Both Overland’s resort & medical teams have had the joy of seeing Royal’s sweet face over the years and he is loved by all.
