I got to transform this little magical nugget today at 💜 Sugar was in rough shape but she did so good! I’m so proud of her. I’m always happy to donate my time and services to help animals right here in our own community! I can’t do it without your support, nor can the shelter! Now accepting new clients for in home pet grooming. Service area includes parts of southern NH and Merrimack Valley

UPDATE: Owner not located. Now named EMMETT. His broken leg will need to be AMPUTATED. We are now fundraising for this boy. We are less than 1/3 of the way to goal.

We can hardly believe it either, but Santa is coming LHS in less than one month!

Early enough to get your pictures printed for your Christmas cards, Santa will be coming to LHS on November 9th and 10th to take pictures with your entire family, including your pets!

Yes! I do cat nail trims, brush outs, and sanitary. As long as your cat isn’t completely fractious ;) Monty often needs his fuzzy beans shaved.

I wrote this on December 17 2019. I didn’t know then that this squirrel that couldn’t walk would end up making a full recovery. The whole story was amazing…

“One person hit him and kept driving but hundreds got together and decided his story would not end there.

He sleeps inside a cozy crab that a kind soul ordered knowing one day it would be needed. He recovers inside an enclosure that a generous individual gifted us.

He was examined and X-rayed by a wonderful veterinarian that donated her time. His medications were purchased with funds given by devoted followers.

The life saving incubator he initially was placed in was only available to him because many people came together to help us get one.

When he was unable to clean himself he was bathed with soap and dried with towels gifted by the community.

He was fed with the best quality critical care formula while he recovered, but only because some caring people saw we needed it and made sure we had it.

He was cared for by volunteers who donated countless hours of their time to make sure all his needs were met.

He is only here because a kind person saw he needed help and stopped to rescue him.

His life was not saved by one person. He is alive because, as a community, we pulled him from the road, bathed him, dried him, examined him, medicated him, fed him and cared for him.

As a community we met his needs. No one asked for anything in return. They did this knowing he may not get better and he would never be able to thank them, but that didn’t matter. The effort had to be made.

He continues to thrive. Where one human failed him, the rest of us showed him we are better than that.”

Eek! Look how flipping adorable sweet Tessy is! I had the honor of grooming her and her beautiful sister, Elly recently. Introducing your puppy to positive grooming experiences early is key. Grooming shouldn’t be stressful. 💜💜💜

Tank is still waiting for his new home!

Tank is a 1 year, 1 month old male Pit Bull Terrier/Mix who weighs 30 pounds and has been with us for 33 days.

Meet Tank! He is a 1 year old male tan & brown pittie mix, and he can't wait to meet you! He is a strong big boy so you will have to be sturdy on your feet taking him for the walks he loves so much, and be ready for play time! He does not understand his size, so he would do best with teens+, because he loves love! He is dog selective, so Tank does not like every dog he meets. If you have a dog at home, speak with staff about their personality & we can see if they may be friends. We are unsure how he may be with cats, speak with staff if you have any cats at home.

Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/ so you're prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.
Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.

Mr Porkus is not a fan of nail trims, unlike his sister… but being able to play with his beloved Jolly Ball after helps. My shepherd loved her Jolly Ball. Stop stressing your pet and you out. I come to you for in home pet nail trims and other grooming services.

I got to groom this sweet little pumpkin named Noodles Monday. He was an angel and so sweet. I love being able to donate my grooming services to the Lowell Humane Society Support local ❤️
