We want to welcome Heidi to the Sarah’s Paw Spa team as the NEW groomer’s assistant!

Heidi has been working with dogs two years, but has been around them her entire life. She started at a doggy daycare, where she started her pet grooming journey. She has owned dogs of all sizes (from a teacup Yorkie to Saint Bernards and Mastiffs). She got her certification in November of 2023 through Penn Foster. In her free time, Heidi loves to travel and she is heavily involved in local theatre.

Bather/groomer’s Assistant
‼️must have at least 1 year bather experience ‼️

Sarah's Paw Spa is a small grooming shop with one groomer looking to have an assistant to help with everyday work duties in the dog spa.

Candidates for Grooming Assistant will be primarily responsible for bathing, drying, and brushing dogs for the groomer. They will also manage the scheduling and phone systems, and check in/out the dogs.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Bathing, Drying and Brushing out dogs based on instruction and direction from groomer.
2. Assisting groomer and pet parents by providing additional services such as teeth cleaning, nail trims, and full service bath/spa services.
3. Assist groomer with phones, scheduling, checking animals in/out, groom shop maintenance, grooming supplies management, customer service, laundry, animal care and safety

Qualifications:

-Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
-Passion to help and treat animals
-Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
