We see dogs and cats for vaccinations, parasite prevention, dentistry, surgery, medical diagnostics, and treatment. Summer is here and so are the ticks. Make sure your dogs are protected from these nasty little bugs. Ticks in their nymph or immature stage can be difficult to spot, and they carry diseases like Lyme’s disease. Monte the Jack Russell mix had lots of fun camping, and even though he is using good preventatives, still needs to be checked for ticks after hiking through long grass. Keep up with your preventatives and be diligent about tick checks all season long.

Happy April 1st! April is heartworm awareness month but heartworm disease is no joke.

We have seen firsthand what this horrible disease does to a dog going through treatment. Our boy, Weaver, was recently adopted but went through some tough times trying to kick this disease.
