Congratulations Spike! ❤️ Be the best boy for your new family!

We are wrapping up 2024 with one final HUGE adoption! SPIKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

After 474 days of being a shelter dog and a couple of “not the right match” adoptions, last week Spike found his family and this one looks like it will be the right fit!! 2024 has been a great year for long timers finding homes❤️ Spike joins the adoption ranks of Ember (4 years at shelter) and Zena (almost 1.5 years at the shelter).

Spike and his new dad Kim had an instant connection. Kim said he has 9 acres of land. A big Fenced yard. There is a huge walking path that the city made from an abandoned railroad right by his house that he used to walk his dogs on and to a bridge and back. He lost both of his dogs within a couple months of one another. They were @ 18 years 😥. He said he does daily walks and he said he will throw ball as long as he needs to for Spike❤️

This looks like the one we’ve been waiting for!! THANK YOU KIM FOR ADOPTING!!! We need to give a huge shout out to Geoff, Spike’s amazing foster dad who has been fostering Spike since July. Geoff was absolutely pivotal in us finding the right match for Spike. He corrected a few of his little quirks, found out exactly what Spike needed to thrive in a home and took the best care of our bestest boy while he waited for his forever! THANK YOU GEOFF FOR FOSTERING!
