They had helped Anna for years and have now have ran it for years. David and Lydia are home schooled students - this provides them many hours home to love on your pets. As home school students, they started attending a co-op for the 2022-23 school year, meaning that we are gone most of the day on Mondays. This business not only teaches them responsibility, but also money management as they get som

e to spend and most goes into savings for the future. They primarily provide in-home pet boarding with the help of their family, but at times will also come to your home to care for your pets. We love all sorts of animals. My husband and I were both raised on small farms with several types of animals. In their life time, David and Lydia has had a dog, cats, fish, a gerbil, a snake, a rabbit, hedgehogs, a bearded dragon, and a crested gecko to help care for. We board most breeds of dogs, small or large. We do have one declawed cat. Our home is smoke-free. As a home school family, we are home most of the day, minus Mondays. I have some experience with giving dogs pills. We live in a very quiet, three cul-du-sac neighborhood, which provides a great one mile loop for safely walking dogs. For the safety of the dogs, we only board one family’s dog(s) at a time, but there might be a few hours overlap during pick up/drop off days, and we will find a way to keep them separate if needed. On rare occasions, we do double board, but we also ask before doing so. We charge $25 a day for boarding dogs, and $15 a day for the second dog from the same home. (*starting April 2024 the charge will be $35/day for the first dog and $25/day for the second.) Your Home Care for Dogs--
Want your dog to stay home and need someone to walk and feed it? We can do that, too, if you live in Dexter proper, the Westbridge subdivision, the Thorton Farms subdivision, Walkabout Creek subdivision, or Bates Farms subdivision we charge $15 each trip to your home. If you live else where, please contact us for a price, thanks. (*starting April 2024 the price per visit will be $20 for those listed in the above areas.) Cats or caged animals? --
No problem, we’d love to check in on them, too. Our family has owned reptiles, fish, turtles, and a gerbil. The charge to check in on your cats or caged animals is $10 a trip, if you live in Dexter proper, Westbridge, Thorton Farms, Walkabout Creek subdivision, or Bates Farms subdivision. David nor Lydia drive yet, but either myself or my husband drive them to your home. We will spend some time each visit loving your animals. (*starting April 2024 the price will be $15/trip for the areas listed above.) Quick Look pricing --

Zelda starts us out as she spend the night with us in mid January.

2023 in review. Here are the amazing pets we got to love on in 2023. There is a picture each time we got to love on them (so if you see 3 picures of the same dog, we got to love on it 3 times). There was a couple of dogs that came through on repeat visits that somehow I failed to grab a picture of them.

As we approach April, I wanted to remind you that our prices are going up (as stated the end of November).

We have served Dexter for over 6 years at the same low price. Starting in April our boarding prices will go up by $10/day ($35/day) and trips out your home will go up by $5/trip ($20/trip).

New clients, Archie and Henry, spent about 13 days with us this past November.

We also ran out a couple of days to play with Felix and care for the chickens while we also cared for Obi and Sophie near the end of Oct. 2023.

We got to love on new pets , Obi and Sophie, three times a day for 5 days at the end of October 2023. The kids talked Anna into coming to see the fluffy kitty.

Cuddly Cooper spent most of October 2023 with us, but I was out of town most of the time, so I didn't get many pictures. Though most dogs sleep in Dave's room, we figured out that Cooper sleeps better in Lydia's.

August of 2023 finished with sweet Lucy letting us love on her for 8 days.

Cooper returned to us for about three days near the end of July 2023. Not sure how I only eneded up with one picture of this snuggly dog.

A neighbor/friend's boy was getting married in middle of July 2023 and he needed us to come check on the dogs a couple of times during their special day. I'm afraid I forgot the dogs names, however. We did enoy going to their house and running around with the dogs.

We got to spend a lot of time with Chopstick as he was with us 12 days in June/July of 2023. This pup loved to play and then snuggle for rest. He even enjoyed sometime with the neighbors when we cooked hotdogs on the 4th of July.

Henry came back for a week of loving in June 2023. Please excuse Henry's tongue, due to health issues he has lost all of his teeth.

At the end of April 2023, Otis came for an overnight stay. He enjoyed some time chewing on some thin brances that fell from the tree as the family sepnt some time out of doors.
