PUPPY INQUIRY
A few things you may NOT want to do when asking a breeder if they have any available Pomeranian puppies.

1. Don’t call the Pomeranian breeder at 1 am or 3 am and expect them to be nice. They tend to wake up grumpy at that time of the morning because they are finally getting a little shut eye.
2. Don’t inquire while eating or using the bathroom. Chew, swallow, or flush before you dial, please.
3. Don’t have your children call. If you are too busy to inquire yourself, then you are too busy to care for a puppy.
4. When the Pomeranian breeder says “hello”, don’t let your very first words be “How much are your puppies?” Oh, and it’s polite to say “thank you” or “goodbye” before hanging up the phone. The thoughtful texts that read “?$$?” shows how much time and effort you put into searching for a quality Pomeranian puppy.
5. Don’t begin your inquiry with a laundry list. “ Hi! I want a tiny female that won’t get over two pounds, with dark coloring, a full tail, baby doll face, small ears, house trained, all shots, with full breeding rights and a wardrobe.” No problem! She can also speak 6 languages, pull a minivan up a hill with her teeth, and she never leaves the lid up in the bathroom.
6. Don’t be rude if you don’t like the prices. Would you work 10-12 weeks straight, without a day off, for a couple of hundred dollars? No? Then don’t expect the Pomeranian breeder to either. The breeder doesn't need to hear how rich they must be. Rich people aren’t on their knees scrubbing up doggie poo. They are usually out on their yacht, wearing sequins and heels, having a hot Saturday night dinner date.
7. Research the cost of a quality Pomeranian from a quality reputable breeder who does health testing. You wouldn't walk into a Ferrari dealership and be shocked at the prices of the cars. We love hearing about the breeder that sells $300 puppies. Then go buy that $300 puppy. Do your research, understand what quality looks like!
8. Don’t say how you wish you had a job where “you get to stay home and play with puppies all day long.” You’re right! The breeder does play with puppies all day long on the days when the magic poo 💩 cleaning fairy 🧚‍♀️ flies over to their house.
8. Don’t say you need a Pomeranian puppy today. Even the good Lord needed a week to create the earth!
10. Don’t text to be put on a waitlist without so much as giving your name and then get mad when you aren't on the waitlist. A breeder's psychic abilities just aren’t what they use to be.
Thank you for taking a minute to read this vent. You may now call with inquiries.😊

HOW MUCH FOR A PUPPY?
Let me say a few words to you, yes you, the person who writes an email to simply ask the price. The person who calls and after hearing a price surprisingly states: “I can buy a cheaper pup elsewhere”. I also address you; the person who doesn’t care about papers because I want “just a pet”.
No dog is “just a pet”.
Behind every pure bred puppy/dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory or mill. When you tell a Breeder you don’t care about papers what you’re really telling them is you couldn’t care less about the health of the puppy you just want the cheapest thing you can find! When you select to buy a puppy from a reputable and quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every pup ; both dogs owned and every pup they’ve sold for its lifetime. This breeder will skip holidays, miss sleeping, and most of their personal house space has been turned into space for their dogs . The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in puppies that are sold, but also in each client who owns a piece of their heart and now is a member of their extended family. This does not take into account any puppy/dog who might get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without question.
A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is about...In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests, echos, x-rays, analysis, emergency c sections, vaccinations, register litters, research pedigrees, de-worm, and get them evaluated by specialists.
Last but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to have one of their puppies. Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a Breeder has made so they need to be confident its the right fit. Many times saying more no’s then yes...A good Breeder will have different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline, why? Because breeding is not a responsibility to ever be taken lightly, it’s a lifestyle choice set aside for ONLY the few devoted people willing to sacrifice.
Because a dog is never “just a pet” it’s the Breeder’s legacy, a little boy’s best friend, a little girls protector, an elderly persons therapy, a member of the family, someone’s whole world!!!
