This dog got spooked when he heard gunshots and immediately started running towards the shelter. We feel like he may belong to one of the houses near SOS. He is safe in a holding kennel inside. If you know who this dog is, please notify the owners. Thank’s 🙂

He is a tall, lean, purring machine!

Most people have enjoyed a long weekend, but rescue never takes a holiday. We have a mom in our care currently giving birth to a litter of puppies and our phones are blowing up with requests for intake and help. Please help prevent the unwanted litters that end up creating more unwanted litters- Spay and Neuter!!! Rescuers are tired!!

Meet Julius! 🐈 He's an energetic kitten who came to Dothan Animal Shelter & Adoption Center when his owner was unable to care for his medical issues and treatment needs. He had an upper respiratory infection and ringworm.

After several weeks of treatment, Julius is feeling so much better! Because of the great care he has received, he’s ready for the next chapter in his adventurous life. ✨

As this sweet kitten recovers from his neuter surgery, we’d like to thank you, our donors, for helping us send supplies to Dothan, including Julius’ cozy purple blanket and scratch pad to keep him entertained. 💜 Julius is very energetic and active, so this helps tremendously. We are so excited for him to find his forever home and start his journey with a new family!

We are happy to announce we have spayed/neutered 557 cats in 2021.
This was all possible due to our amazing supporters. The ones who have donated, shared our posts, and have volunteered their time.
A huge thank you to Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance, Dothan, AL. Drs. and staff you all rock and we can’t thank y’all enough!
We are incredibly grateful and it gives us motivation to continue our mission of spaying/neutering
