Green is the calmest pup out of the litter but has a ton of prey drive. She’ll pull the wing away from the group and stands her ground with the big dogs.
Purple is an all around great pup. Playful but will still hang out and snuggle. Great prey drive and a has her mommas looks.

Yellow male was our smallest male but had the highest prey drive. Every video I went through had him on the wing 1st and was on it til the end.

Soju has her Hunting Retriever title and 2 finished passes. She has grown into my favorite all around dog to hunt with. She is steady and quiet. Her marking is outstanding. She is a water seeking dog, often queen of the pond during play time with the other dogs. She is 75lbs of muscle and a lap dog in the house. Always keeps a clean kennel.

These dogs coming out of Grant’s Big Cottonwood Retrievers LLC with studs from Chris’s Flatlander Kennels, Inc are incredible! Jinks- 10 months old. Decided to take a break from T drill and let her run some marks with the big dogs. She kept hammering each mark so we sent Shanee’ deep to the long mark and she just ran with such great confidence through old fall, past holding blinds, and over multiple terraces right at about 200yrds. This is a Barley x Reese’s pup

Gunner fighting a cripple goose in some high winds. this was Jase’s first goose and he got to send gunner to pick it up. Great memory and can’t wait to see it on the wall.

Little update on Jinks (Barley x Reese), our 6 month old 3/4 sister to Soju (Barley x Eva). I’ve been doing things a little different with this pup cause I knew she was turning 6 months right at the start of winter. we’ve really slowed down and just enjoyed letter her be a pup. We slowly transitioned to formal obedience training and e-collar conditioning. And we are getting ready to start force fetch here soon.

After our previous post about Gunner handling geese well, we called her up for a fun goose hunt. She didn’t disappoint picking up her share of a dozen geese.
