Tip Tuesday!
I see more often, then not, riders think backing up their horse will solve the problem, but when your horse really wants to go forward and you pull them back they will most likely rear and nobody wants that.
1. Why is it the safest option? By moving their shoulders, you’re not discounting forward motion, so they most likely will not rear.
2. Why is it the most effective way? Moving their shoulders will make the distance to the destination they want to be at take longer to get there and end up fixing the problem.
3. It gives them something to think about. If you do not tell your horse what to do, they will find something to do.

Flynn
Here’s a little update on Flynn, he’s coming along very nicely! #coltstarting #horsetraining #Michigan
Xena
This is Xena, a sweet little mare that I have been training for the last 30 days for one of my lesson students. Fortunately she will be a future breakout, but I will definitely be missing her until then. During this video she is cued to go from walk to jog, when I hum she slows down to a walk and I click for her to jog.

Working Cherry with snub horse
Cherry update! 🍒
Yesterday I used a snub horse to help prepare Cherry for her first ride. This allows me to safely get her comfortable with me moving around above her.
Mounting block trick
The mounting block trick is one of my favorites, especially for the tall horses!
Fall🍁
The horses are loving the fall weather🤩
Penny and I had some fun today! She did great considering she’s had a couple months off❤️
I have a few training spots open, message me if interested!
