Hello friends and followers!!

I’ve been super busy lately and have been terrible about updating this page. Hoping to do better with that now.

A few updates coming your way!

We have a number of first freshener does confirmed bred and due between October and December!! Super excited about these girls and the potential babies. We will be offering reservations for many of these breedings. Most of them will be does or wethers, but I may make exceptions for bucks on a case by case basis pending seeing how the does udders are looking and milk production. It never hurts to ask though!

We will be offering a few first freshener does in milk to new homes. So stay tuned for that as well. This fall will be a very exciting time here on the farm! ♥️

We currently have 3 doelings available, weaned and ready to go. You can even choose their registration names if you like and I’ll auto transfer them online at the time of registration so papers will come straight to you.

The gold and white does are littermate sisters, and the moonspotted doeling is sired by the same buck as the gold girls.

Hello friends and followers!
The time has come to make some hard cuts here. We will be posting some available goats in the next few days, these are quality animals, definitely not culls by any means. Unfortunately we can’t keep them all, and I have to lighten my workload a bit here. So scoop them up while you can! I will make package deals and will work with transport (transport and health certificates at buyers expense).

*disclaimer, not all of these goats are available, but some will be!

At just before midnight on 3/25 we wrapped up our spring kidding season. Last doe to kid was The Lizzie’s Cocoa a true favorite here in our herd. She kids with absolute ease, even when she’s carrying a mini herd. She was bred to Celtic Pride L Leitmotif and had quads! 3 bucks and 1 lovely little doe.

Thanking the Lord for a safe and healthy kidding season. I’m so grateful to say that all of our mommas delivered live, healthy babies and we only had one minor dystocia case which was resolved fairly easily on my own.

Breathing a sigh of relief and looking forward to a much needed rest here.

I’ll be introducing two new herd members in April sometime and I’m very excited about that! So stay tuned for that! 😊💜

Meanwhile, we do need to make some hard cuts this year so if you’re looking for something specific please reach out and let me know. I may have what you are looking for.

We do have two doelings available (one is ready now, and the other will be in about 8 weeks) we also have at least one doe in milk who will be available when she weaned her kids.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve made a post on this page, so just figured I’d drop an update. We are in storm prep mode here getting the critters all ready for this wacky weather shift that’s happening tonight. It was 63° here yesterday and tonight the low is going to be around 24°. I get really worried during these shifts due to the risk of respiratory issues to the goats. So everyone has electrolytes, extra bedding and full hay feeders. And I’ll be keeping a close eye on them all.

Of course, We have a doe due within the next few days so that makes this all the more stressful. Expecting kids from Knapptime B Smooth N Silky and Beatitudes The Candyman Can and we are very excited about them of course.

Oh! And my favorite barn cat who disappeared about a year ago wandered back up onto the porch this past week or so and made us soooo happy too!!

Somebody was feeling like an over achiever today. Apparently she thought I needed a reminder as to why she’s my favorite girl 🤣 [for the record, i did not need that reminder, Sneaky is my heart goat without a doubt]

Miss Sneaky is 3 weeks into her 6th freshening with triplets and decided she needed to fill her udder to maximum capacity today for me. Wowza!

Annnnnnnnd this solidified my decision to retain both of her doe kids this year

Miss Emmy (Beatitudes Sparrow Song) is due in 28 days for her second freshening and boy are we excited to see these kids!! She’s bred to Celtic Pride L Leitmotif 💙 her FF udder was lovely and I’m so excited to see how she does this time around. Emmy is my oldest son’s favorite girl.

Pictured is Jubilee’s (current) first freshener udder, she effortlessly kidded quads on 10/1/23 and looks fantastic. Her udder is buttery soft and her attachments are amazing! I’m so thrilled with her that I almost didn’t let either of her girls go 😂

A few updated pictures of our first fresheners. These ladies are all within 2-5 weeks fresh 😍

*Jubilee has me all kinds of proud and excited so far. She had an injury to her right teat about two days after freshening (no idea what happened) but the teat is not growing or lengthening because of it, which is sad. She still milks extremely well and I’m pleased with her overall.

Once again, in the hustle and bustle I forgot to announce these precious little babes!! On Saturday, their momma flawlessly delivered two Stunning doelings and a beautiful buck. So thrilled with these kids so far! I believe that they’re all reserved/retained but if that changes I’ll be sure to post.

✨ The personality change ✨ One of my favorite and, for me, the most noticeable early sign that kidding is approaching is the change in behavior. Some of my girls who are generally less personable, become more cuddly and sweet. Cocoa is one of those goats, she’s one who is not a “people goat” normally. She tolerates me, but prefers to be admired from afar unless she says otherwise, or if there’s food involved. When she gets close to kidding though, she practically climbs into my lap. I’ll happily take all the Cocoa cuddles 🥰♥️ She’s due in 1 week!!! I cannot wait. This girl has the most beautiful udder attachments and I cannot wait to milk her again ♥️

The girlies ♥️ Sneaky is in the barn with her babies, and Cocoa is in the kidding pen. Watch those cute pregnant girls run 🤣 Stormie and Emmy are our first home bred does to freshen and they’re due in about a month! So excited!!

*semi graphic birth video* It’s actually a pretty perfect example of a great birth, but some people may want to scroll on by, hence the warning label. 😊♥️ 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 Peaches is a 2F this year and she birthed twins unassisted and is a fantastic mommy. Unfortunately one of her bucklings is the one that we lost a few hours after birth. This is the baby who is thriving, we call him Jupiter.

Guess who is in the kidding pen! Peek a boo is due Tuesday (10/11)! Her udder is definitely not full yet but she’s starting to show some signs of kidding! We are very excited 😊♥️

We enjoyed the 70° days this week, of course we know the weather can’t stay that nice just yet, but we took advantage while it was here ☺️♥️ the babies loved playing outside.
