K9 Companions 4 Life dog rescue is a small rescue started in April 2003 to help save the lives of ab FROM HOMELESS TO FOREVER HOMES.
K9 Companions 4 Life, located in Northeastern Pa, works with a network of shelters, Transporters and rescues to help death row dogs find loving forever homes. The rescue consists of one family coming together to help those dogs in need and we do this by helping one dog at a time. By doing this we help saves 2 lives. The life of the dog we pull into our rescue, and the life of the dog that takes its place in the shelter
Mika is a wonderful Shepherd/Akita mix who is searching for her forever family. She is 6 months old; current on vaccines and heartworm negative. She has come a long way since joining the SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team. Her Foster mom says she will make a family complete. ❤️🐾

Sammy is over 1 year old German Shepherd that still thinks he is a puppy. ❤️. He was top in his class at the Board and Train Facility and knows his commands, but he still has insecurities and guards his food, so we recommend that he be fed in his crate.
He loves ❤️ to play and does zoomies but watch out when he gets going as he doesn’t have an easy stop button. 🤣. Our Team believes for him to find happiness, he would best to be an only dog. He would make an excellent Therapy or Service Dog as he is highly intelligent. He is housebroken. Fully Vetted and Neutered. He is an awesome and loyal dog. ❤️❤️. He is ready to head home with the right family.

We really thought that we had a home run adopter for Eva, but sadly it was not meant to be... She is back looking for her forever family. Eva and her four pups were rescued from a shelter in Georgia. Eva was a super mom and a friendly outgoing girl. She loves car rides and has great manners, riding shotgun. She looks mostly Labrador Retriever and some type of bully breed. She would make a great addition to any family. Please note, we will not consider same s*x adoption, paired with the right male, she will be perfect.

Gracey was a stray that was taken in by a kind hearted family to give her a loving home. However Gracey isn't able to be left alone for long periods of time due to her anxiety, this family works and has no choice but to try to find her a loving home that can accommodate her needs. BELIEVE me when I say they have tried everything possible to keep her.

******FOSTER HOME NEEDED
We are looking for a Foster or adopter for sweet Luna
She is approximately 1 1/2 years old. Spayed, and up to date on her vaccines. She looks to be a German shepherd mix. She is currently around 60 pounds and she has long legs.
Luna is good with other dogs, she is active. Playful and a big love bug. She likes to be with her human. In fact she is described to be a bit clingy.
She is currently living in Oklahoma and we need a foster home before we can commit to bringing her into our rescue.
She was rescued by a woman who found her eating food off of a plate in the middle of the road.

“According to the SPCA and Humane Society, in the next 4-8 weeks, you'll all be seeing the "We need to re-home our pet..." posts.
These are the people who went ahead and purchased puppies & kittens as Christmas gifts who are suddenly allergic, moving, having a baby, don't have time, their kids won't take care of it, didn't think they'd get so big, blah, blah, blah. Problem is, almost 90% of unwanted pets, sadly end up in kill shelters. ( we do not euthanize but countless shelters do )
Allow me to break it down for you.
You didn't know you had an allergy? Oops. Don't let the pet suffer, buy some allergy medicine, if you love your pet, it's absolutely worth a shot.
You're moving? What city are you moving to that doesn't allow dogs?
You have a responsibility to your living, breathing family member to plan ahead to find a house, apartment or condo that will ALLOW your family member. Period.
Oh, you had no idea you were due to have a baby in 2 months? Interesting. Get a dog trainer if you're housing a breed you fear might become an issue. It's also worth a shot.
Don't have time for ONE 15 minute walk, or to have a dog just sit next to you while you're home? Really? So they're better off in a shelter than waiting in your house for you to get home? Ok, perhaps get another pet to keep them company or look for a local dog-sitter.
Oh, you mean your 5 year old didn't step up to the plate to feed, walk and scoop p**p? And this surprised you? I guess it's time for YOU to step up and model responsibility for your child.
Wrong size? Not cute as an adult? Not quite the personality you expected? Look in a mirror, how did you turn out? Should we send you back? 😡
