Our hearts are heavy knowing the need for feeding your pets is greater than ever. If you are struggling to feed your pet(s), we want you to know about the amazing organizations providing the communities with invaluable resources. This is a list of just some resources where you can get help keeping your pet(s) fed. We would suggest that you contact them ahead of time to confirm eligibility, availability and anything you may need to bring with you (ID, proof of residence, etc).
If you do not see your area on this list, please check with your animal shelters/humane societies, (human) food banks and churches as many have programs that help support the community's needs for human and pet food.

Prevent a Litter of Central Texas - Distribution is generally the 3rd Saturday of each month, but please check our website calendar. Distribution is on a first come, first serve basis. The pet food distributions will now be at the Hays County Health Department 101 Thermon Drive, San Marcos, TX 78666 from 10 am to 12 pm. Coastal Bend Food Bank - This nonprofit organization provides food to a network of more than 144 agency partners such as food pantries, shelters, senior centers and feeding agencies in 11 counties throughout South Texas. Don’t Forget to Feed Me Pet Food Bank – Visit https://dontforgettofeedme.org/ to get a list of the 23 distribution partner locations across the DFW area you can visit to pick up pet food. DF2FM does not distribute to the public, rather they partner with community organizations to provide food for each partner orgs community
Community Crossroads Pet Food Pantry – 1516 Hemphill St, Fort Worth. Thursday at 11:30 a.m. first come, first served, or until distribution capacity is reached. Limited to one bag per household per month. Website for more info: fpcfw.org/crossroads

Foundation Of Caring Animal Supporters (Johnson County service area) - pet food pantry, located at 420 S Old Betsy in Keene from 10am-2pm every other Saturday. Meals Fur Pets - (through Meals on Wheels East Texas) - For residents of Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, or Wood counties who already receive services from Meals on Wheels and your pet is a dog or cat. Humane Society of El Paso - this program provides temporary, supplemental food assistance to help families in need feed their pets. We offer free dog and cat food on a monthly basis, and litter or other supplies based on availability, as a way to help pet parents supplement their pet’s monthly food needs. via a partnership with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger (EPFH).
