It makes it so much easier to make business cards as well since we can add or delete links without affecting the QR code!

Today has been a sad day.

After many wonderful years, our oldest ewe Clementine passed away in her sleep. She was snuggled into her favorite napping spot by the hay feeder. It looks like she went very peacefully.

We laid her to rest in the back of the hay field where she can return to the earth that grew the nourishing hay she enjoyed for years.

Rest in peace our wonderful old gal

Mootilda is having a blast at Pressnall Family Miniatures! She's been spending time with one of their mini bulls, Little Al, who's a stunning bull. We are so excited for Mootilda to come home and for next year when she gives us an adorable little mini calf!

Muwahahahaha!!! The boys are in boy jail!!

To keep our does and ewes from having kids and lambs in the winter, we've started separating our boys from the girls. This year they got their own outdoor pen with the donkey shelter being their shelter. Now we don't have to worry about winter babies or them destroying any indoor pens like they did last year.

Only downside is that everyone else wants to eat their food instead of their food!

Everyone, meet Fortify! He is this year's Hereford bull from Rood Family Bull Rental and was delivered today! Already he's been checking the ladies and following them about to see if anyone is ready for breeding yet.

We also got to meet two very handsome Red Angus bulls that were going to work an hour south of us at another beef farm. One, who we nicknamed Bubbles because he was blowing spit bubbles, enjoyed getting chin scratches from us through the trailer.

Right now Rood Family Bull Rental has a limited number of bulls available still with so many out for work. However be sure to check out their breed list and newest bulls! You might just find the next bull to rent for your own cows! They'll be sure to give you all the details for any bull you're interested in or offer recommendations based on your needs.

We swear by RFBL for all breeding bull needs! They're perfect for small operations like us or for anyone needing new genetics but don't have the space for a bull year round!

Before everyone asks, Curly went to work at a different farm before we reached out for the bill list so we hope he is working hard to give that farm future stunning calves!

And with that, the youngest member of the farmstead has shown in her last Cloverbud show 😭

Next year this Feral Daughter will be a real 4H kid! She'll be competing for champion, reserve champion, blue, and red ribbons! She'll be able to show more animals as well which means more work for her and mom at the fair!

Let's give a HUGE cheer for all the kids who are showing their last Cloverbud shows in 4H and for all the kids who have wrapped up their very first Cloverbud shows in the Rice County Fair and every other county fair!
