Happy World Veterinary Day!

The theme for this year is "Veterinarians are essential health workers"

"The World Veterinary Association Council chose the WVD 2024 topic to highlight that veterinarians’ competencies must be regarded as an essential and integral part of health at large. The application of veterinary science contributes not only to animal health and well-being but also to humans physical, mental and social well-being and to environmental sustainability." Take a moment today to thank a veterinarian in your life!!!

A HUGE thank you to Dr. Mary Szymkowski, Dr. Margaret Edwards-Seal and Dr. Rachel Davis! We appreciate you and the immeasurable time and care you put into making sure our fur babies are healthy!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Reuben and I am up for adoption!

I am a neutered male that is up-to-date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative and about 2 years old. Dr. Edwards helped me by removing my top canines because they were sticking straight out! Sometimes my lip gets stuck on my bottom canines but everyone at The Cat Hospital tells me it's cute.

I am a little shy at first but I LOVE to receive pets and give headbutts. I don't mind other cats but I'm not too sure about dogs.

Come meet me! I'm in the Adoption Room in the front office! Even if it is just to say hello, I would love to meet you!

April is Heartworm Prevention Month!

As the weather gets warmer and the insects start to emerge, it is important to protect our fur babies against vector-borne illnesses. Heartworm disease is a mosquito-borne illness that affects both indoor and outdoor cats.

February is National Pet Dental Health Month!

Examining your cat's teeth is a part of their annual exam but if they start showing signs of dental disease don't hesitate to give us a call! Getting your cat seen for dental issues early can help prevent more serious issues in the future.

Brushing your cat's teeth daily will also help prevent dental disease!

Our staff is dedicated to providing the best care possible for your fur babies!

Meet November's Cat of the Month - Zava! A special feline with a name familiar to Ted Lasso fans. This remarkable little girl was discovered by a good samaritan in front of a yoga studio, in dire need of help. At the time of rescue, this brave cat had a broken left humerus, which ultimately led to amputation, along with issues of dehydration and malnourishment.

Now, this resilient cat has made a full recovery and is thriving. She is on the lookout for her forever home, ready to bring joy and love to a caring family.

This cat is not only a fighter but also in good health- she is FeLV/FIV negative, fully vaccinated, and spayed. At 5 months old, she's at the perfect age to become a cherished addition to a loving household.

Don't miss the opportunity to give this courageous and loving cat a place in your heart and home!

Throughout this pandemic, we have always prioritized the safety of our patients' families and our staff. As you may know, on September 27th, 2022 the CDC updated their mask mandate in healthcare facilities to no longer require universal masking. Their decision was based on the availability of the vaccine, anti-viral treatments and community transmission rates.

Starting Monday, October 3rd, our clinical team will continue to wear masks at all times because we are often in close proximity to our patients' family members. However, we will no longer require curbside pick up of prescriptions and food orders and owners may come inside to discuss histories for drop off appointments. We encourage mask use by family members in exam rooms, but will not require it. If you would like a mask when you walk in, we have them up front for you to use at no charge. If you prefer curbside service for any reason, please call upon arrival and we will be happy to accommodate your request.
