How stinking cute is Banks??? 😍 He was a super sweet and brave puppy who behaved like a pro by the end of his appointment.

While Banks isn’t technically a reoccurring client, I have begun booking non-reoccurring clients when I have the space. I don’t book empty appointment slots until a week or two before to give time for my reoccurring clients to reschedule if they need to, but if you are not a current client and would like to have me groom your dog don’t be afraid to reach out and ask if I have an appointment available!

July was a rough month with the salon flooding, putting me out of work for two weeks to fix it. It was such a relief when the repairs were all done and I could accept clients again, I could barely sleep because I was so excited!

This whole mishap reminded me just how truly lucky and grateful I am for my clients. Every single person was so understanding, and many of you reached out with well wishes and offers to help. I love my job, but it can be physically and emotionally draining - without my amazing clients, I surely would have burnt out by now. Thank you for your constant support!!

I had such a good habit of taking before and after photos last year that I had to buy 2 TB of storage for all the dog photos. 😂 This year that habit has completely disappeared and I feel like I’m remembering to take a photo once every few weeks. You can tell Luna and Shadow are siblings - they’re almost exact copies of each other! Right down to the exact same squeaky-door-hinge pitch when they cry. 😂 They have both been coming to me since they were puppies and are absolute pros for the grooming process.

It’s the holiday season, so holiday bandanas are back! I love doing bandanas but I just can’t keep up with them year around (cutting them is too much for my already worn-out wrists!) so I was excited to bring them back for December only. ‼️ PLEASE READ ‼️

With the the new canine respiratory illness spreading across the states, I will be upping my sanitization process between each dog and ask that if your dog is showing any symptoms, please reschedule! This new illness does not respond to commonly prescribed antibiotics and can rage from mild to life-threatening cases.

I am lucky that I work one-on-one so the risk of spreading is low, but I will continue to stay up-to-date on best practices to keep my doggy clients safe and if either of my own dogs begin to show any symptoms I will cancel all appointments until they are cleared by a vet.

Today marks the end of Ultimutt’s first anniversary week! 🎉 I cannot thank you all enough for the absolutely wonderful year that Ultimutt has had. I have had the pleasure to meet some amazing people and work with some of the best pups around. Thank you thank you thank you!! #happybirthdayultimutt

Lyra came in for her groom yesterday. 💙 Her fur actually feels like it’s getting a little bit thicker, so I’m hoping her coat is healing some after all these years.

Winston gets sO fluffy after his blow dry, and yes he is as soft as he looks. 😍 He’s like petting a teddy bear.
